Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 411

Holly had just settled back at her desk when a message from Remus pinged on her screen, inviting her to the coffee shop downstairs.

"Holly??"

She quickly typed back, "Mr. Remus, can't we just talk here? I don't see the need for a coffee shop meet-up."

His response was swift and unwavering, "I need to see you. If you don't come down, I'll come up."

Holly's eyes sparkled with mischief as she grabbed her phone and headed out. It was lunchtime anyway, so a quick detour wouldn't hurt.

Entering the cafe, she spotted Remus nursing a coffee, his eyes darting around the room.

Seeing her, he put down his cup and flashed a wide grin. "Holly, what's so urgent that you had to drag me out of the office?" she asked, casually tossing her phone onto the table.

Remus leaned in, still smiling. "Holly, I've only been at the company for four days, but I can already see—you've got potential."

"Potential?" Holly raised an eyebrow, incredulous. "Mr. Remus, my designs haven't even been approved yet. And now you're telling me I've got potential?"

Remus was momentarily at a loss for words. Was Holly playing hard to get?

Unfazed, he continued, "What I mean is, I can help you climb the ladder, make a real splash in your career."

"Oh?" Holly's response was noncommittal.

"So, what do you think, Holly?"

She locked eyes with him, unblinking. "And just how can you help me, Mr. Remus?"

Before Remus could elaborate, Holly cut in, "What's the deal? Are you some hotshot designer? Got more clout than Ms. Josefina? You think you can critique my designs?"

Remus was speechless. Was she mocking him?
