As Makiko spoke, her frustration grew. It was unbelievable how different kids could be. If her own daughter were as stellar as Josefina, she'd have so much less to stress about. Maybe she’d been too soft-hearted.

With a reluctant sigh, Makiko knew she had to go along with it.

“I understand,” Makiko said, ending the call.

Makiko made her way to Wilder's company. Inside, Wilder sat in his office, looking lost and unlike his usual confident self.

“Wilder,” Makiko greeted as she took a seat.

Wilder snapped back to focus, seeing Makiko walk in. “Mom, what brings you here?”

Makiko smiled, “I wanted to check in on you. Don’t stress too much, Wilder. I’ve brought in two top-notch techies to help boost your output. Even if things are quiet now, don’t worry. The product is the real star! I’ll help you reach new heights.”

Wilder was surprised, “You brought in techs, Mom?”

“Yeah, they’re in the tech department already. You need results, not just hype. Get the work done, and the buzz will come.”
