Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1019

Oliver was scratching his head, trying to wrap his mind around what Grandpa Robert was saying.

“My granddad always said you still had a hint of your old self, but your personality’s changed a bunch,” Oliver replied, looking a bit puzzled.

Grandpa Robert chuckled at the memory. “You, Cole, were a fiery one, like a wild mustang that couldn’t be tamed. Who’d have thought a person could change so much?”

While Grandpa Robert was lost in his memories, Oliver exchanged a glance with Josefina, both of them staying silent.

Hattie, on the other hand, was a bit worried about Josefina. “Josie, Oliver, do you guys see Cole often?”

Josefina shook her head. “Not really. I’m staying at Oliver’s estate, and Cole’s family lives with Grandpa.”

Hattie seemed relieved by this answer. As long as they weren’t in constant contact, there shouldn’t be any issues.

The family sat down and enjoyed a hearty meal together. Oliver decided to stay over, spending the night with Josefina.

This was Oliver’s first time staying in Josefina’s room so openly. Oliver walked in through the front door, his eyes darting around with curiosity.

Josefina laughed. “What’s up? Feeling like a stranger here?”

“It’s just different being here with your blessing,” Oliver said, plopping down on the couch.

Josefina chuckled at his antics and pulled out a couple of sets of pajamas for Oliver, hanging them in the wardrobe. “Your pajamas are here. Take a shower and get some rest.”

She placed Oliver’s clothes on the bed before heading into the bathroom herself. Just as she started undressing, Oliver wandered in.

“Oliver! I’m in the shower!” Josefina exclaimed, her face turning crimson.

Oliver grabbed the hairdryer and motioned for Josefina to rest her head on his lap, gently drying her hair. Josefina closed her eyes, feeling his fingers glide through her hair, sneaking peeks at him now and then.

Even from this odd angle, Oliver was handsome, making Josefina’s heart flutter. As soon as the hairdryer was off, Josefina reached up, cupping Oliver’s face, and kissed him.

The charged moment broke free, Oliver bending down to return her kiss with intensity. The exchange left Josefina breathless, and she finally had to push Oliver away. “I’m sleepy,” she said, playfully running away from the moment, turning over and pulling the covers up.

Oliver laughed softly, sitting on the edge of the bed, watching her back. He was tempted but mindful of her comfort.

Meanwhile, Brandon and Cole were having a father-son chat in the living room. Brandon handed Cole a bank card. “This is your share of the profits. All the dividends over the years are in there. You can use it however you want.”

Cole hesitated, not taking the card. “Dad, you’ve worried about me for so long. I can’t accept this. Consider it my way of showing some gratitude.”

Brandon smiled and pressed the card into Cole’s hand, making sure he accepted it.
