Chapter 822 Rainbow Centipede

After searching around the place, Matthew found those plants as expected. Nevertheless, he didn’t touch the plants. Instead, he slowly squatted down and observed his surroundings.

Then, he took a small ceramic bottle out and poured some of the black powder from the bottle around the plant.

A while later, Matthew noticed the soil around the plant moving around as if something was about to crawl out.

The centipede wasn’t large and was only about the length of a thumb. However, the centipede had a colorful appearance and looked more like a snake.

Right then, the centipede looked anxious as it moved around in the circles around the black powder that was circled around it. The centipede couldn’t crawl out of the black powder, and it seemed like the centipede was fearful of the black powder.

At this moment, Matthew took another ceramic bottle and opened a little opening around the black powder before placing the mouth of the ceramic bottle at the opening.

Immediately, the centipede crawled over and entered the ceramic bottle.

Not long after, more centipedes around the area crawled out before crawling into the pill furnace one by one as if they were attracted by the smell.

Leanne’s eyes widened as she gasped. “S-Someone is rearing centipedes around this area? How could that be? Most… Most of the people here are innocent elderly villagers, so who would do that?”

Matthew shook his head. “I don’t know yet, but I’ll find out in a bit. Don’t worry. Those people who are rearing these centipedes are not planning to harm you guys or the people here. If not, this entire area would have been destroyed. Things wouldn’t have been like this if they really planned to harm everyone.”

Although Leanne looked relieved right then, she was still anxious. After all, it was normal for a woman to be fearful of creepy crawlies.
