Mated to Two Bad Boy Alphas

Chapter 229 Loss

–CAITLYN’S POV–

It had been almost two weeks since Blake got me here.

To his wretched pack house.

It wasn’t that it was cold, or dark, or smelly.

But I was surrounded by monsters. Literal killing machines.

Abominations.

And I was expected to relax. To be happy. To act like he’d done me some kind of favour by bringing me there.

I barely spoke to him.

He’d tried a thousand times by now to make small talk.

To ask me how I was doing. How I felt. What I was thinking.

I offered him no reply.

Sometimes, I’d simply shoot him a glare and he’d sigh and leave.

Yes, we do!I snapped, standing up and stepping away from him. It’s your mate. Lia. The Bender of Wills. They call her that for a reason, don’t they? She can control minds, can she not?

He stood up as well. Lia would never do this, Caitlyn. She’s kind.

She’s an abomination!I yelled, glaring at him. My face felt hot. My fists balled at my sides. She’s a threat to the entire world, but you’re too blind to see it! Now one of mine is dead.

He stepped towards me, but I shoved him back by the chest.

Stay away from me,I warned, the tears finally rolling down my cheeks. You ruined everything by kidnapping me that day. By stepping in the way. I was going to kill her. I was going to end it before it started. But you acted selfishly. You only thought for yourself. You’re worse than all of your kind!

Blake didn’t flinch.

He simply stepped closer again, in spite of my attempts to push him away.

His arms went around me, and he pulled me to his chest.

Let go!I yelled, my voice cracking into a sob.

My throat burned. My chest felt heavy, like the weight of the entire world had been dumped onto it.
