Chapter 29

- Eleonora Point of view -

Twenty Five Years before present.....

My father pushes me to marry Arthur, the King of werewolf world. I am already twenty-five and haven't found my mate. We are in the line of Beta but since my dad doesn't have a son, and the Beta title will be out of our bloodline, he and the King arrange my marriage. They arranged me and Arthur to become mates.

I want to disagree but my father does everything just to push me in that wedding.

I was having my visit to the nearest pack to send the invitation card of our wedding.

As soon as I step my foot on the ground, I smelled this wonderful scent. River scent with a combination of fresh orchids. My favorite.

A man steps out in the pack house and look surprised in my appearance. We look each other. A lot of words want to come out but unsaid. He knows who I am and he knows why I came to see his pack.

"The future Queen has arrived." A man standing his side said.

"My Queen, my name is Markus Alurious the Alpha of this pack, it’s my pleasure to have your visit. Please come in." He said turning his back to me.

I follow him inside while I'm having an inside battle to grab him and kiss him. He is mine, the one who was made to be with me as long as I live.

We enter to his office.

"Please take a sit my Queen." He said.

"Just Ele, I am not Queen yet." I said.

"As you said Ele, so what do we have here?" He asks looking so broken in front of me.

I look into my guards and his Beta and gamma. I feel so awkward to talk to him in front of them.

He looks at my action and I think he gets what I mean.

"Can you leave us for a minute." He ordered to everyone but my bodyguard refuse his command.

"Just leave us for a second, I want to talk to Markus for a while." I ordered.

They leave the room and it fills with our silence.

"So, you're getting married?" He asks breaking the silence.

I sigh and look him in the eyes. Those beautiful sea blue eyes who held so much emotion inside keep me looking at it more.

"I-I'm sorry." That's all it takes for me to breakdown and cry. "My father wanted me to do this, I can't say no to him." I explained.

He stands and kneel in front of me.

"Hey hey hey, don't cry... I can't see you like this Ele, we can do this.. you can tell your dad that you already found your mate. He will understand." Markus said holding my hands and kissing it. I can feel the electric spark that comes from his touch and lips.

"Lindo what are you doing?" Markus

"What I am doing? I am doing what is right. She's getting married this blue moon and you wanted her to cancel the wedding because out of nowhere she found you?! Oh, that is bull shit!" Father said putting me behind him.

"But I am her mate and we're supposed to live together. The Moon Goddess paired me with your daughter and she is mine." Markus said. I saw his eyes glow into gold. That means his wolf wanted to take over.

"You are no good to my daughter. The king is far better than her than an Alpha of a small pack? You're fucking kidding me kid! I will not let my daughter destroy this arrangement." Linton said.

"She's mine and you need to kill me first before you take her away from me." Markus said.

"In that case, I am willing to kill you." After my father say it, the fighter of the kingdom circled him.

"Dad No!" I shouted before one of the guards hold me.

My father shifted into his wolf as well as the others and Markus. His wolf looks at me before he fights for me.

I saw it in my own eyes how they hold him, biting his four legs and let him fall in the ground. I saw my father slowly walk to Markus, looking into his prey and show all his teeth to me.

"Father please.... don't do this...." I'm begging him but he didn't stop. He bit Markus in his neck. Everything seems to stop. The pain of hearing his slow heartbeat. The pain of seeing him losing his life makes my heart stop too. I turn around, I can't do this... I can't watch him die....

And I did the worst thing a mate can do to his other half while dying ....
