"Do you like my son?" The Queen asked.
I choked at her Majesty's question. This is something I didn't expect.
First, I said to the King that if I won, he would be all mine.
Then, when I got to my room, the Queen sent someone to tell me that she wanted my presence in her room.
Now we are eating together and she's asking me a lot of questions and she wants me to have her crown.
"Your Majesty, His Majesty is an impossible and very scary man," I said.
She laughs at my answer. "I have known that since I gave birth to him. But, I want to know if you like him?"
"I don't know but he is a good-looking guy, but his attitude confuses me though. I'm sure I have got a crush on him since I saw him shift that night. However, I believe that the right person who should fight for your crown is his true mate," I said. I know I'm blushing right now.
"Oh, about that, I didn't see you that day. Do you leave early?" She asks.
"Well...... I'm not supposed to leave the house that day. Father told me not to leave the house. He told me that I would not be needed there. But I still attend and watched it from afar. I wanted to see the King first shift. But he caught me so I ran back home as fast as possible." I said.
"Oh, I see. Look, Kath, I want you to understand that my son has an attitude. I know somehow if you win you will get along with him." She said.
The hair on my back started to rise, I could feel someone was watching me, but I shook it off. There's only me and her majesty in her room.
"Maybe, but I believe in mates, your Majesty. Even at this moment, I don't have any idea who he is. I still believe that I am meant for him and he is made for me. That is why I'm having second thoughts about this. If I win, it might affect what the Moon goddess prepared for me." I honestly said.
"Kath, life is a matter of choice. You just need to choose. Plus the mate thing, it will not be a problem. I promise." She said, holding my hands.
"But---"
A big thud cut me off.
I saw the King lying on the floor.
"My Son? What are you doing? Are you hurt?" The Queen rushed to help her son to get up.
"No Mother, I got outbalanced before I knocked." He said.
Though I feel he is lying, I shake it off.
"My Queen, can I go now?" I asked, giving them privacy.
"Yes, sure. Zeus, bring Katharina to her room." The Queen ordered.
The King looks at me. "My Queen, it’s okay, I'll be fine. I know my wa----"
"Let's go." He said, cutting my words again.
I look at the Queen, and she just nods at me. I can't say no to her.
He walks out of the room first and I follow behind him. He doesn't talk and that's much better because I'm having a hard time talking his presence. He is a really good-looking guy, even if I'm looking at his back. Why is he so perfect? Did he have a girlfriend? If I win, can we work out? Ah! I'm confused about my feelings.
"You know I can read your mind, right?" He said.
Oh gosh, I forgot! I said to myself.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"Katharina." He said.
"Yes?"
"Would you like to have tea with me?" He asks.
"S-Sure, your Majesty," I said.
"Follow me." He said.
"You are not my mate Loui, so shut the fuck up! My mate will be the one who will win the battle." He said, looking into my eyes. Those silver orbs have secrets that wanted to be revealed.
I broke eye contact. "I need to go now, your majesty. I should sleep early for the training tomorrow." I said, excusing myself.
"You too, Loui, you leave my room and never come back again. I don't want anyone going in here barking like that or else.... I'm going to throw you outside my land." He said.
Thank God! I leave the room as soon as he finishes scolding her, but that girl follows me and drags me into the corridor while her nails dig into my arm and push me against the wall.
"You little Bitch, I don't want you to talk to my fiance like that. I don't want you any near him." She said while pinning me to the wall.
My wolf is itching inside of me, she doesn't want to be treated and threatened this way, especially this little girl. And he is not her mate nor I. We both don't have the right to fight over him.
I pushed her away from me. "Don't you dare threaten me again Loui? Let's get it over in the tournament." I said.
"And you think you're going to win?" She laughs wickedly.
"Watch me," I said, leaving her laughing in the corridor. I really like the way Zeus pushes her away. At least we know that he has no feelings for that Queen wanna-be.
"Kath, where have you been?" Ruby asked before I could go to my room. She's waiting for me at her door.
"Just out, why?"
"Nothing, let's go to bed. Tomorrow we will be trained by Tyler, the Beta of the King." She said, giggling. I think she likes Tyler.
She waves goodbye and I enter my room. I'm so glad that it has its own bathroom and window. It makes me comfortable.
I look at the window while drying my hair. This is the first time I have opened this and, to my surprise, my room is facing the terrace of the King. He is still there sitting and watching his land.
He really takes my breath away. His peaceful face with no emotion shown makes me think about what he is thinking right now. What if he is my mate? What does it feel to be in his arms?
I shake that thought away. If he is my mate, he will tell me for sure. I closed the window, lay down in my bed, and fell asleep.
Two days to go......
