Chapter 740 Visiting Rowena
“Perhaps he’ll awaken in high spirits once the situation with the Mortis sisters is settled. Who can say for sure?” Lucy’s words finally soothed Cherise’s heart a little.
Cherise took a deep breath and turned to look outside the ward, “Where is Damien?”
“Your children are still oblivious to the circumstances here. Damien wished to keep them in the dark, so he lied and said you were staying at my place. He’s probably having breakfast with them right now.”
Cherise nodded. Her two children shared a profound bond with Zachary. If they learned of Zachary’s condition, they would fuss and insist on visiting him….
Damien had made the right call. It was best to keep them in the dark for the time being. Perhaps Zachary might regain consciousness before they discovered the truth.
She subconsciously glanced at the hospital bracelet on her wrist as she thought about it. “Are we at… Adania Hospital?”
“Yes.” Lucy furrowed her brows, “Is something wrong?”
“Help me get out of bed to freshen up.”
Rowena was also admitted to Adania Hospital if Cherise’s memory served her right.
With Damien’s strong sense of responsibility, he felt obligated to Rowena. He thought that Rowena’s feet were burned because of him, so he arranged a luxurious private room for her on the top floor of Adania Hospital. The amenities inside were comparable to a five-star presidential suite.
Since Cherise and Rowena were in the same hospital, Cherise couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit. Rowena
After washing up, Cherise savored the breakfast prepared by Lucy. Cherise felt rejuvenated and looked radiant as she gracefully ascended to the top floor and knocked on the door of Rowena’s ward.
At that moment, Rowena was engrossed in watching television, her eyes brimming with tears. Upon hearing the knock, she assumed the nurse was serving her breakfast and responded idly. “Come in.”
“Didn’t I tell you not to serve breakfast so early?” Rowena pursed her lips disdainfully. “I’ll get hungry before lunch if I eat breakfast too early.”
Cherise had just entered the ward when she heard Rowena’s remarks. “It seems I’m being rude.” An indifferent smile formed on her lips. “Should I have brought breakfast while visiting you, Ms. Rowena?” Her voice was cold and slightly sarcastic.
Rowena was taken aback. She quickly looked up and saw Cherise standing elegantly at the door. She frowned, picked up the remote control, and switched off the television. “What brings you here. Ms. Shaw?”
“To visit you, of course,” Cherise/responded with a nonchalant smile. She walked in and settled on a sofa. “Did you have a good night’s sleep, Ms. Rowena? Your sister spent the night in jail”
Rowena wrinkled her brows and feigned surprise. “What happened to Lula?”

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
