Chapter 1215 Lennon's Death
"I told them it would seem improper to outsiders that I am suddenly marrying Violet when we were raised as siblings. So, to avoid gossip, we're planning to go on a cruise and have a ceremony of sorts.
"It won't be too late to have a formal celebration later with friends and family once the timing is right and my position in the Belcourt family is secure."
Lennon added, his lips curling, "By then, they probably never imagined that there wouldn't be a future for them beyond that."
"What about you?" Damien asked, his deep, inscrutable eyes gleaming with an array of intricate glimmers as they bore into Lennon. "What about your future?"
"I don't need one." Lennon chuckled, his determined gaze shining through his pale face. "I've been avoiding it too long; I can't keep running forever. Confronting these demons is an inevitability.
"It's just..." He closed his eyes. "I hope that when Alexis is older, you can tell him that his father was not a coward. And that he never wronged his mother."
Lennon sighed deeply, "I'm only in my thirties. Isn't it said that beauty is a curse? That's me, I guess."
Damien raised an eyebrow, "You may be cursed, but you won't die that easily."
"Let's hope you're right." Lennon shrugged, "If I don't make it back, remember to tell your brother to take good care of Lucy."
A slight crease formed on Damien's forehead, but he remained silent. In truth, he didn't want to tell Lennon that Lucy had absolutely no feelings for Colin. Despite the idyllic scene of them laughing and talking in the courtyard, they had wrapped up their divorce that very morning.
Their marriage had been nothing more than a ploy by Anthony to control Colin. With Anthony now in jail and Jude bringing Dorothy home to care for her and rebuild the Gray family, Colin and Lucy no longer needed to maintain the charade that was their marriage.
Although Damien knew that Colin had developed genuine feelings for Lucy, such emotions couldn't be forced, especially with someone as headstrong and uncompromising as Lucy.
Lennon scrutinized Damien's face, "Make sure you live a good life."
A breaking news segment caught her attention.
A group of people were searching a charred cruise ship wreckage at sea, looking for any signs of life. But there were none.
"The latest report from our correspondent reveals that this cruise ship was hosting a family gathering for the Belcourt family to celebrate the union of the Belcourt family's adopted son, Lennon Belcourt, and their daughter, Violet Belcourt.
"Tragically, the cruise ship met with an accident. All on board is believed to be dead…"
It was a quiet yet dramatic end for Lennon.
Standing before his grave, Lucy found it impossible to muster a smile despite numerous attempts.

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
