The doctor gave her a skeptical look. "No, you're not."

With a grave expression, he continued, "We need her family—parents, husband, anyone."

"Guess you've got a heart after all!"

Mandy found herself somewhat reassured by Colin's immediate concern for Lucy.

They raced down the stairs, reaching the ground floor in under a minute.

Finally, he gently guided Mandy into the driver's seat, settled into the passenger side, and gasped for breath before urging her, "Drive."
