Damien didn't even look up. His voice was cold and distant as he said, "Let him. He brought this on himself."

Cherise was at a loss for words. She had hoped he'd help talk some sense into Colin! But here he was, firmly standing by Colin's side? He was his own brother, for crying out loud! Didn't he feel any pain for him? Wasn't Colin his younger brother? Didn't he care about him?
