Chapter 1175 Colin Got Injured
Damien didn't even look up. His voice was cold and distant as he said, "Let him. He brought this on himself."
Cherise was at a loss for words. She had hoped he'd help talk some sense into Colin! But here he was, firmly standing by Colin's side? He was his own brother, for crying out loud! Didn't he feel any pain for him? Wasn't Colin his younger brother? Didn't he care about him?
Damien's averted gaze spoke volumes - a complete lack of concern.
Taking a deep breath, Cherise grabbed the antiseptic wipes and tweezers. "If the pain gets too much, don't hesitate to cry out," she instructed.
Then, she turned to Mandy. "Just in case, can you bring a towel? He can bite down on it if it gets really bad."
Colin remained silent throughout.
With a tight press of her lips, Cherise began cleaning his wounds.
The extent of the damage was far worse than she'd anticipated. Blood caked the area, and with meticulous care, she used tweezers to extract over a dozen shards of glass.
Each shard caused Colin to react visibly. His ears turned white, and his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles shone bone-white.
Seeing him like that gave Cherise a weird sense of deja vu.
This wounded Colin reminded her of Damien from the past, who faced anything head-on, regardless of the pain or difficulty. Colin had some of that same grit.
Brothers. So stubborn in some ways, it was almost uncanny.
By the time Cherise finished removing the glass and bandaging his injuries, Colin had surrendered to the pain, succumbing to a merciful unconsciousness.
This man, who wouldn't utter a single groan even as his body screamed, remained silent until the pain finally knocked him out.
Cherise sighed resignedly while putting away the medical supplies. As she did, Damien entered the room, a thin blanket draped over his arm. He draped it gently over Colin.
The man on the bed had a handsome face—sharp cheekbones and defined collarbones added to his charm. Perfect lips peeked out from under his arched eyebrows and long eyelashes. The resemblance to Damien was undeniable.
However, innocence and vulnerability about him tugged at Mandy's heart, making her want to get closer.
She chewed her lip, her eyes glued to the bandage on his forehead, where crimson blood seeped through the white fabric.
She couldn't help but think about his pale face as he endured the pain earlier and how he'd protected her at the bar.
A pang shot through her heart, a feeling of constriction as if an unseen hand squeezed it.
Colin's lean physique, a facade of innocence radiating a sunny disposition, yet beneath it all resided a core of stubborn determination, a trait so characteristic of the Lenoir family.
Mandy couldn't help but be intrigued by this enigmatic mix.

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
