Chapter 1133 The Wedding Day
On the wedding day, she and Lennon had already split up.
He was supposed to have left Yatesville.
So why was he still here?
As Lucy pondered his clandestine meeting with Alexis, her heart clenched.
Could it be that he was vying for custody of Alexis?
The more she mulled it over, the more convinced she became that her speculation was on point. Lennon's purpose for staying seemed increasingly clear: to fight for custody.
Lucy remained awake throughout the night, her mind consumed by worry and uncertainty.
The following day, Cherise, still lost in a dreamy haze, felt the touch of large hands gently pinching her cheeks.
She instinctively knew whose touch it was.
Half-awake, she closed her eyes and, with a playful yet sleepy gesture, attempted to nip at the hand of the familiar presence beside her.
'Hiss!'
A soft gasp escaped the man as he hovered above her, playfully pinching her face. "Little rascal, did you just bite me?"
"Who said you could disturb my beauty sleep?"
Cherise retorted, her lips pursed as she shifted to a more comfortable position, nestling into his arms. "It's barely dawn, and you're already causing trouble?"
"It's six o'clock."
He informed her, leaning down to gently kiss her forehead. "If I need to be at the office by eight, I can leave at seven forty."
"Eating takes ten minutes, washing up takes ten minutes," he stated matter-of-factly.
"So..." she trailed off, sensing mischief in his tone.
He wickedly nipped at her ear. "We still have an hour and twenty minutes to kill."
Cherise's eyes widened, realizing his ulterior motives. He'd woken her up early for a reason!
She brimmed with resistance, both physically and mentally. "Damien Lenoir, you've stirred up enough trouble last night, and now…"
Before she could finish her sentence, she was silenced by his passionate embrace.
And anyway, Cherise would only dare to try with Lucy's call.
"Lennon's Still in Yatesville,
Cherise felt a twinge of emptiness touching her heart.
She'd known he hadn't left, but Damien had asked her to keep it under wraps, so she obliged.
"Um, are you sure Lennon is still there?" Cherise inquired tentatively.
Taking a deep breath, Lucy responded, "I've confirmed that he hasn't left yet."
A hint of sadness tinged her voice as she continued, "I believe he's staying because he wants to fight for custody of Alexis with me."
Cherise's hand trembled slightly as she held the phone. "Or... maybe not?"
"Definitely," Lucy affirmed with conviction.
Lucy chuckled bitterly. "He's been entangling with me for so long. Now that he knows he has a four-year-old child, he won't give up easily."
"I've considered it," Lucy continued, settling on the balcony and gazing at the distant morning light. "Lennon is the CEO of a big corporation, living a glamorous life."

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
