Chapter 1064 No More Mercy
In a sudden flurry of action, there was a loud bang as the door was forcefully kicked open from the outside, revealing Damien storming into the room alongside Mr. Hampson.
"Are you okay?" Damien's concern was palpable as his eyes immediately fell upon the blood that stained Cherise's hand.
Without a moment's hesitation, he closed the distance between them, pulling Cherise into his protective embrace. With gentle hands, he carefully examined her injured hand; his voice filled with urgency. "Where are you hurt?"
"I'm the one that's hurt, me!" Sebastian's anguished cries echoed through the room as Mr. Hampson restrained him, the desperation evident in his voice. Clutching his bleeding hand, he continued to lament, "I'm going to die! I'm going to die!"
However, Damien remained unfazed by Sebastian's cries, his attention solely focused on Cherise's well-being. Tuning out the distraught man's pleas, he remained steadfast in his efforts to assess and address Cherise's injuries.
After conducting a thorough examination of Cherise's condition, Damien finally released a relieved sigh. "You're alright," he remarked, his tone filled with genuine relief.
Cherise offered a reassuring smile. "I told you, I'm fine," she replied, her voice steady despite the recent turmoil.
When they first obstructed Trent, it was Cherise who proposed the audacious idea of voluntarily hiding in the suitcase, taking on the guise of the sedated Savannah.
However, her proposal was met with staunch opposition from not only Damien but also Mr. Hampson and Steve.
Despite their skepticism, Steve even attempted to contort himself into the cramped confines of the trunk. Yet, his towering six-foot stature made the endeavor a futile one, risking potential injury in the process.
In the end, Steve reluctantly abandoned the idea, acknowledging the impracticality of fitting into such a confined space.
It required considerable effort on Cherise's part to persuade Damien to trust in her ability to protect herself this time around.
She knew she was not incapable of defending herself; rather, her lapse in judgment had allowed Sebastian to deceive her previously.
The evolution of the shy, chubby child who once sat beside her into the cunning figure Sebastian had become was entirely unforeseeable.
Despite Cherise's assurances, Damien's concerns for her safety still troubled him greatly.
While he pretended to search for Gwenn alongside Mr. Hampson inside the hotel, Damien's true focus was on ensuring Cherise's safety outside. His worry was evident in his vigilant demeanor.
Damien's expression remained resolute. "He'll receive a simple bandage at the station," he replied firmly.
"It's just a minor injury," Damien continued, his tone unwavering. "He won't die from it."
A sense of conviction underscored Damien's words as he glanced toward Cherise, his gaze filled with unwavering determination. "Considering what Cherry has endured and what Savannah narrowly escaped from," he added, "he doesn't even have the privilege to complain about the pain."
With that, Damien wrapped an arm around Cherise, guiding her out of the room as they left Sebastian behind.
Cherise's expression was one of confusion as she turned to Damien. "That's it?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty. She had anticipated a more formal resolution to Sebastian's situation later on.
Damien nodded, a faint smile gracing his lips. "That's it," he confirmed. "Our main prey is not Sebastian, after all."
Cherise's expression turned contemplative as they walked out of the room, wondering what the purpose of their visit truly was.
"Some of the members of our team were just instructed by Mr. Hampson to restrain the occupant in room 2101 upstairs," Damien informed her after a short moment of pause.Cherise's expression turned puzzled. "The occupant in room 2101 upstairs?" she inquired, seeking further understanding of the situation.

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
