Married Without Love novel Chapter 14

||Mishal's POV||

I woke to an empty bed but heard the sounds of things shuffling around from the wardrobe and Zayaan's cold voice.

".....I want you to check on the basement again and make him something to eat before I surprise him with my visit. Also, told Yamin to go Multan and overlook that area again. I want to confirm if he is the one who caused it..."

Multan? This city's name was enough for me to shudder in fear. It was the same city where I and Zayaan first met or so you could say, he found me there and helped me. The city where the terrible incident happened and left scars and nightmares for me.

I made the bed quickly and went to the washroom and freshened up. I went in the wardrobe and saw it empty, no sign of Zayaan. I quickly changed my clothes and went down to the dinning hall where amma bi was sitting alone.

"Sorry. I'm late!" I said after greeting her.

"It's completely fine, my child," She told me with a smile.

I sat on her left side and served breakfast to both of us. I looked around for Zayaan and amma bi saw me looking at the entrance, she told me,

"Zayaan left for some work without breakfast."

I nodded my head then started eating with my mind drifting off towards the conservation which Zayaan was having on his phone.

"So, you did it?" Amma bi asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I looked at her in confusion.

"Don't be shy. I want you to be wild with me just like when you are wild in my Zayaan's bed," She said, innocently.

I coughed badly and tried to swallow the bite which was in my mouth but it was impossible. My face heated up and my eyes filled with water.

Amma bi patted my back and made me drink water. Finally, the bite was swallowed. I gasped for air and looked up at the ceiling.

Oh Allah! Please help me!

"Are you fine?" Amma bi asked, innocently.

I didn't know how she behaved and talked so innocently after talking so, so and so boldly which made the other person dig his or her own grave in embarrassment.

"Ye-yes!" I answered and felt my heart hammering loud enough for me to hear.

"OK. If you say so," She said with a nod.

Thanks to Allah, she didn't speak more and quietly finished breakfast because I wasn't planning to embarrass anymore.

After breakfast, I and amma bi went to the lawn and she made me rest my feet on the pillow, on the table while I was sitting on the swing bed and she was sitting on the sofa beside the swing. She was telling me about her deceased husband and stories of Zayaan.

"Zayaan and Rayaan were both inseparable and always loved each other to the death. They both loved to confuse everyone because they both were literally the same… identical. They fooled around everyone but never me," She said with a smile and a distanced look.

"Rayaan?" I asked in confusion, remembered the man from the picture but never saw him face to face.

"Rayaan and Zayaan both were twins. Identical but both were opposite of each other. Rayaan was innocent, full of fun, rebellious and pranksters. He was never serious in his life except for his Aabro." She told me.

"Whereas, Zayaan was always serious, reserved but always had a smile, be responsible and mature but carefree. One night, one accident was enough to separate them from each other. After that accident, Zayaan became more serious and distant himself from everyone. Zayaan took Rayaan's death more serious to his heart than us. As Rayaan vanished from our life, Zayaan's smile also vanished and he is no longer a carefree person."

"Amma bi!" I gasped with my cheeks turning red and looked at her with wide eyes.

"I knew it, you will like it. Now, go. Shu.. and wear it," She said, clapping her hands then pushed me in the washroom, gently.

I eyed the pair of undergarments and reluctantly wore them. I also wore my dress which amma bi selected and looked in the mirror. I was looking beautiful, they all really did a good job.

I set my dupatta on my shoulder and exited from the washroom to the room where amma bi was whispering something to the three of them with her mischievous smirk.

Now, I really wish myself good luck! Oh Allah! Please help me from whatever she is planning!

They all stopped whispering when they noticed my presence in the room. Amma bi looked at me from top to bottom then nodded her head in approval with a satisfied smile.

"Now, let's go!" She said in excitement.

"To where, amma bi?" I asked her as she started walking out of my room.

"Oh! You will see!" She said with a smirk.

I looked at the other three ladies but they all looked away from me with a matching mischievous grin like amma bi. Amma bi took me out of the house and handed me a shawl then turned to the driver.

"Take her where I told you!" Amma bi ordered the driver in her firm and dominating voice.

Amma bi didn't let me ask her questions as she quickly draped the shawl around me and gently pushed me inside the car. Driver got in the car and headed to Lord knows where. I couldn't contact Zayaan because my phone was at home, in the bedroom. I didn't notice when the car because I was thinking about what amma bi was up to this time.
