Everly opened the jewelry box and put on the entire set.

Once she was ready, she stood in front of the mirror and looked at herself. Despite dressing up, she did not find herself particularly beautiful. She still felt more comfortable in her usual androgynous clothes.

Sonny gave a once-over and complimented her. "Not at all. Seeing you in a dress is quite a pleasant surprise. This look is completely beyond what I imagined."

"I rarely wear formal dresses. I'm just used to wearing suits."

"Wear them a few more times, and you'll get used to it. You look great. I'm not merely flattering you either. You really are beautiful tonight. I guarantee you'll be the most eye-catching woman at the banquet."

Everly smiled. "You're just trying to make me feel better. I know how I look."

She picked up her handbag and said, "Let's go steal the limelight together."

"My pleasure."

Sonny stood up and left the office with her.

Sarah had not gone home yet. Since her boss was still there, she did not dare to leave first.

When the office doors opened, Sarah instinctively looked over. When she saw her boss wearing a white strapless evening gown, adorned with jewelry, her eyes instantly widened.
