“This time, Sonny came to Clearfield, so it’s only their second meeting.

“They’ve barely met, so they naturally haven’t had much time together, but we can create opportunities for them.

“Anyway, don’t worry about Everly’s marriage anymore. I’ll take care of it. Do you think I wouldn’t consider what’s best for my own granddaughter?”

Maddie nodded repeatedly. “I understand. From now on, if my brother or the others try to introduce a guy to Everly, I’ll turn them down.”
