Callia grinned as Koben ran toward her.

Just before Koben reached her, Callia got down and spread her arms for him to plunge into her embrace.

Though Koben came across as annoying and would not leave her alone at times, Callia still missed the little guy when they were apart.

Their bond was something else since Callia practically raised him.

She had babysat the other cousins, but none of them shared a bed with her as Koben did. Koben was her absolute favorite.

“Callie.”

Koben sprinted ahead and threw himself into Callia’s arms. She pulled him close and asked with a smile, “Do you miss me?”

The little boy hugged Callia’s neck and replied, “I miss you so much. You didn’t even wait for my school break to come here. I had to be patient to get here.

“If the others took any longer, I’d have told Dad to ship me over as cargo.”

Callia carried him and said with a smile, “No one’s going to let you travel on your own. By waiting for the others, you can have a safe travel here together.”

“You should let me know where you’re going, even if you’re taking me, Callie.”

Callia nodded dotingly. “Okay. I’ll always tell you.”

She gave the little guy a peck on the cheek.

Her family was good-looking. When her friends from school saw a picture of Koben, they gushed over how adorable and cute he was. They said that Koben was the cutest thing ever.

Koben returned the kiss immediately.

Feeling jealous, Xavier took Koben from Callia’s arm and remarked, “Koben, I’m right over here. Didn’t you see me? Do the rest of us exist to you?”

Koben scoffed. “You’re the traitor, Xavi. You didn’t tell me that you were coming over. You came all the way to hog Callie.”

Xavier burst out laughing. “Callia is your cousin, not mine. I would take your cousin away.”

He would become Koben’s cousin-in-law.

“You’re always around Callie. You tag along everywhere, and I don’t like that. Callie is mine!”
