Liam shivered in fright. “Pete, wh-what’s the matter?” he stammered. “What mistake did I make? Say something!”

Pete raised the brick and threw it at him.

Liam hurriedly avoided it and asked anxiously, “Pete, what are you doing?” We’re pals, so just tell me what I have done to offend you and I promise I’ll make it right. If you don’t say anything, how can I make things right?”

Pete didn’t say a word. He picked up another brick and grabbed Liam’s collar.

Pete took the hit but he didn’t back off. Instead, he hit Liam on the head with the brick.

Liam was beaten till he saw stars. He staggered and took a few steps back.

Pete dashed toward him and kicked him in the stomach again. He then grabbed Liam by the neck and gave him a few slaps to the face.

Liam was getting dazed from all the hits, and all he could do was to hold his head and try to avoid the blows.

“Get on the ground!” Pete roared again.

Liam was completely frightened by this point and fell to his knees with a thud. With a trembling voice, he asked “Pete, what happened?”

Pete finally stopped and yelled angrily, “You f*cker! You still dare to ask me what’s wrong? You almost got me killed! I got lucky, or else my whole family would have been finished by now! F*ck you, Liam. I really want to kill you!”

As Pete ranted, he grabbed a brick and strided toward him angrily.

Liam immediately kowtowed. “Pe-Pete, I was wrong! Please forgive me… How did I get you into trouble? Just tell me. I really don’t know what’s going on…”

Pete angrily told him everything that happened today.

It was then that Liam finally knew what was going on, and he was dumbfounded.

Pete gritted his teeth. “You f*cking listen to me carefully! From now on, Mr. Larson and President Cunningham are my benefactors. If you dare to disrespect them, even a little, I’ll fight you with everything I have! My life was saved by Mr. Larson and President Cunningham anyway, so I don’t mind giving it back to them!
