The crown prince needed to familiarize himself with the bank after the handover with Kelvin.
At the very least, he needed to know where the elevators and restrooms were.
On the other hand, Matthew left Skargness Bank alone.
Upon reaching the main entrance, he noticed that Manager Telk had left to deal with his finger.
The security guards, like mice seeing a cat, quickly scattered.
Matthew had no time for such insignificant people and continued on his way. Yet, his phone suddenly rang before he could get into the car.
He frowned again once he saw the caller ID.
"Your Highness, Prince Gadel!"
As he answered, Gadel's voice came through, sounding somewhat urgent. "Mr. Larson, something's wrong! My father's condition is getting worse. Do you have any way to help him?"
Of course, he didn't mention a recovery.
There was no such thing as familial affection in royal families, especially at such critical times. The princes were openly and covertly fighting for the throne.
The old king's only remaining value was perhaps delaying time to gather strength.
Matthew blandly responded, "There's a way."
He then paused. He had already helped Prince Gadel a lot. Moreover, they were both partners and adversaries, considering how Montiria's goal was to control the Seraphis secretly.
Besides, Seraphis was Matthew's future territory, and an irreconcilable conflict might happen.
After a while, Gadel's voice sounded again on the other end. "Mr. Larson, I have two pieces of information you might find useful."
This was his offer for an exchange.
"First, Zedbar and our Montiria Bank's general manager, Clarence, have been very close. I've heard they plan to make a move against you."
Tygs' eyes showed a hint of gratefulness after receiving the medicine bottle. He repeatedly thanked Matthew. "Thank you. His Highness wants to remind you that Conor is very secretive although he appears to be an idle person. We haven't yet uncovered any valuable information about him."
"Okay!" Matthew nodded, his regard for Conor growing even more.
Anyone important enough for the ruler to meet during a worsening health phase must be significant.
"Mr. Larson, I'll go now. We will inform you of any new information immediately." After saying goodbye, Tyga quickly boarded the helicopter.
With a gust of wind, he swiftly returned to Montiria.
As Matthew stood there, his expression darkened, after which he immediately contacted Jonathan.
"Mr. Harrowsen, there's been a change. Our bank might be targeted."
A few seconds later, Jonathan steadily replied, "Okay. I'll have people monitor the bank's financial transactions closely during this period."
