Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman novel Chapter 1527

Chapter 1527

What else could Madeline not handle after experiencing so much?

She could even guess what Ada had said to Carter’s mother. Indeed, Carter’s mother then asked in an extremely displeased tone, “Are you the mistress Carter is hiding from the world after a meticulous selection process?”

Madeline was stunned when she heard this. She wanted to say she had nothing to do with being someone’s mistress or the meticulous selection process the woman mentioned.

However, after some serious consideration about how Ada was deliberately targeting her with malicious intentions, Madeline could only smile and nod.

“Yes, Aunty. Carter said I’m his girlfriend.”

“Who are you calling ‘Aunty’? Don’t you address people willy-nilly!” Carter’s mother corrected. Even though she looked extremely pissed, one could still see that she was educated and refined from her every move.

Even though she was mad, she still looked poised.

“Miss, I don’t care what stage you’re at with Carter, but as his mother, I will never allow my son to marry you.”

Indeed, she was Carter’s mother.

After Madeline heard this calmly, she saw Ada smirking victoriously. On the other hand, the middle-aged woman next to Ada displayed a similar smirk as well. Hence, that woman was Ada’s mother without a doubt.

“Did you hear me?” Carter’s mother asked.

“I did.”

Madeline looked into the woman’s unhappy eyes calmly and displayed a small smile.

Madeline smiled calmly. “I’ve never played with anyone’s feelings. I just want to say that no one knows what’s going to happen in the future.”

“…”

Carter’s mother did not have any comebacks for that.

“You’re clearly playing with Carter’s feelings. You’re so gutsy!” the middle-aged woman next to Ada said suddenly.

Even though this woman was stunning, her temperament could never compare to Carter’s mother.

Madeline could only see some similarities in Ada from her manner and behavior, and it was acrimony.

This woman walked to Madeline while she said that, an arrogant and imposing look on her face. “Do you know who Carter is? I’ve never seen such an unaware and shameless woman like you!”
