Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir) novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25

At Cassian’s pack, Aurora was busy tending to the communal gardens when Lila approached her, her expression tense.

“What’s wrong?” Aurora asked, wiping dirt from her hands.

“Strangers have been spotted near the northern border,” Lila said quietly. “Patrols are reporting unfamiliar scents.”

Aurora’s chest tightened. “Do you think it’s him?”

Lila nodded. “It’s possible. Cassian’s already tightened security, but we need to be prepared.”

Aurora’s hand instinctively went to her abdomen. The twins stirred faintly, as if sensing her unease.

“I can’t let him find me,” she whispered.

Lila placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “You’re not alone, Aurora. Cassian won’t let anything happen to you or the babies.”

Aurora nodded, though her fear didn’t ease.

Cassian called a meeting with his senior wolves in the main hall. The atmosphere was tense, the room filled with murmurs of concern.

Cassian’s jaw tightened. “I’ll remind him that Aurora belongs to this pack now. And if he doesn’t like it, he’ll have to deal with me.”

Nathan nodded, though his unease lingered.

As Aurora lay in bed, the unease in her chest grew stronger. She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was coming—something that would shatter the fragile peace she had found here.

She placed a hand over her stomach, her voice a whisper. “I won’t let him take us. I promise.”

Outside, the forest was quiet, but the shadows seemed to stretch longer, as if heralding the storm to come.
