However, when Andrew walked out the door, he turned back to look at Rowan. “Two years!”

Rowan’s heart was in turmoil. Could Andrew read his mind?

“Are you planning to stay in that desert for the rest of your life?” Jason was exasperated at Rowan.

He knew that Andrew was making an example of Rowan to warn everyone around him that they could not disrespect Madelyn, even if she had done something completely unethical.

Although he felt that Rowan was being petty, Jason privately agreed with his opinion of Madelyn being a witch.

Andrew sped all the way back to the Miller residence. He walked inside grimly, looking as if someone had stolen his favorite desserts.

When Ryan saw him, he immediately hurried over. “Mr. Andrew, what are you doing back here?”

Hadn’t they told Madelyn not to tell him?

Andrew did not even look at Ryan. He appeared very fierce. However, when he reached the door to the dining room, he heard Madelyn’s

tinkling laughter.

“Mom, this is amazing! I haven’t had this for ages.” She seemed very happy. 

Andrew felt like he had gone back in time. In their childhood, Madelyn would always follow Grace around in the kitchen while she was cooking and start stealing mouthfuls of food.

“We used to ask you to come back, but you never came. Apart from anything else, didn’t you miss my cooking?”

“Mom, can you stop bringing up the past? Should I move back in?” Madelyn asked Grace in a wheedling tone.

Andrew relaxed considerably.

He walked over to the dining room and saw Madelyn and Grace together, looking very harmonious.

Athena’s smile flickered when she saw Andrew. “What are you doing

back here?”

Madelyn looked up from the enormous mountain of plates in front of her. When she saw that it was Andrew, her face split into a smile.

She had always been a little chubby, and she was very fair. Whenever she smiled, her eyes crinkled into crescents.

When Andrew heard her boldly mention moving back in, his expression darkened. “No!”

“Why?” Madelyn looked unhappily at him when he refused.

Seeing that Grace was angry, Madelyn quickly said, “Mom, he’s always been tactless. You know that.”

Grace took a deep breath. That was true. She had given birth to Andrew, and she knew what he was like. He had always been tactless, but she had to forgive him!
