Grace’s and Athena’s heart shattered. 

At last, they understood how Caleb had managed to put on that repulsive display of selling his own daughter. It was clear now–he had no affection for Madelyn at all, as she wasn’t his biological daughter. 

It was no wonder that the Garcias hadn’t given Madelyn any wedding gifts all those years ago. The Millers had always been confused as to why the Garcias felt no guilt over losing Madelyn for ten years.

Athena pulled Madelyn closer with even more compassion.

“The Garcias are cunning. I told them to prevent the Garcias from taking advantage of you in the future,” Andrew said seriously.

Andrew had texted David from the Miller residence earlier to have the kitchen heat up Madelyn’s medicine. 

Madelyn remembered there was a large bag of medicine in her car. 

She told Andrew, “Dr. Barton said the medicine also has some auxiliary effect on the blood clot in my skull. It can be taken with the current prescription.” 

“I’ll ask Dr. Kent first. Did you bring the prescription back with you?” Andrew asked.
