Love You Like I Used To Forget It (Millie Bridge) novel Chapter 669

Grace couldn't understand how Emilia could be so lucky.

First, she had Irvin, an exceptional man who was completely devastated because of her and remained devoted to her.

And now, she had found someone like William.

William was someone Grace didn't even dare dream of getting close to. How could Emilia deserve that? How?

The more she thought about it, the more the jealousy consumed her, making her feel like she was losing her mind.

She knew she shouldn't be envious. It had been hard for her to get where she was, and all she needed to do now was focus on her pregnancy and safely deliver the baby.

However, she couldn't help it.

Grace was certain she was better than Emilia in every way. There was no reason Emilia deserved all of this.

It wasn't until the cramps in her stomach turned into sharp pain that she finally snapped out of her jealous spiral.

She started taking deep breaths, trying to calm herself until the pain slowly faded.

When Grace finally regained her composure, she realized she had almost put the baby she had worked so hard for at risk just because of her own jealousy. She was hit with a wave of guilt.

She didn't know why she couldn't control her jealousy toward Emilia.

Just then, her phone rang. Seeing that it was an unknown number, she picked up immediately.

An eerie male voice told her everything had been arranged and that Emilia would soon suffer from a terrible accident.

Grace chuckled, satisfied. Fate might have been kind to Emilia, but she was determined to take control over it. She'd make sure Emilia suffered painfully.

After ending the call, she opened her laptop, feeling enlightened.

To make everyone believe Emilia had really gotten together with William, he moved into her place.

That same night, they secretly visited Mr. J, the powerful figure she had recently treated and cured.

Mr. J thought William's plan was solid, but he didn't fully trust him.

When William stepped out to take a call, Mr. J turned to her and said, "I trust you, Ms. Quill, and I truly want to repay you for saving my life. But as for Mr. Ashford…"

He paused for a moment before continuing, "A plan like this will take a lot of time and effort. I don't think an alliance can rely on just a casual relationship.

"Mr. Ashford is a businessman. He might be willing to do anything for love now, while he's madly in love with you, but what happens if that love fades?

"Taking down that organization won't be something we can accomplish quickly. If his feelings for you change and he decides to back out, we won't just be losing money. We could be losing lives. And that's a risk I really can't afford to take."
