When the aroma of the cooked fish hit Emilia while she was eating, she suddenly felt nauseous and ran to the toilet to vomit.
The housekeeper, Lola Shay, saw what was happening, and she hurriedly put down everything in her hands and followed Emilia to the toilet.
She watched as Emilia wrapped her arms around the toilet and vomited nonstop. The sight made her incredibly scared.
"Why are you vomiting so suddenly, Ms. Quill? I use only the freshest ingredients when I cook."
Since Emilia paid her well, she only bought the freshest ingredients she could find. That meant that Emilia shouldn't have food poisoning.
Meanwhile, Emilia couldn't answer her because she couldn't stop vomiting at all. Suddenly, Lola remembered how Emilia was enjoying the food until the fish came out.
"Ms. Quill, are you pregnant?" she asked instinctively.
After saying that, she thought of something and hurriedly covered her mouth!
"I'm so sorry, Ms. Quill. I'm sorry, I… I…" She was so lost that she didn't know what to say at all.
Lola knew Emilia was single, and the latter didn't live with anyone else at all. The only places Emilia would be were the lab and her home, so there was no way she would be pregnant for no reason.
"You probably have pharyngitis! That's right! Ms. Quill, have you been feeling unwell recently? I've heard that it's easy for someone to feel nauseous after smelling something fishy when they have pharyngitis!"
The more Lola thought about it, the more she was certain that Emilia had pharyngitis. That was the only reason she could think of for Emilia's reaction to the fish.
Meanwhile, when Emilia heard Lola suggesting that she might be pregnant, her face went pale. It wouldn't matter if she felt like vomiting after smelling the fishy smell. After all, some people with serious cases of pharyngitis really would vomit after smelling the fish.
