"Am I not careful enough?" Wilbur said calmly.
Eileen frowned and said, "That world you are talking about is a world that even your parents, Samuel and Jennifer Penn, failed to return from. The two of them were already at the Emperor level, a realm that exceeds mortal powers, so you should still be careful."
The Emperor level.
Hearing that, Braum's eyebrows twitched.
"Don't worry, I won't take any risks unless I'm completely confident," Wilbur said.
Eileen breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, saying, "That's good. I just don't want the Kiwanis Club to lose their leader right as they are reforming. That would be too much of a pity."
"Sir, I'll notify everyone. With the power of the Kiwanis Club, you'll quickly see some results," Braum said.
Wilbur nodded.
At that moment, Eileen said, "Sir, you just took over the club. There are a lot of accounts and affairs that need you to take a look at. We'll immediately compile them, but please remain here for the meantime."
Wilbur nodded in agreement.
Eileen and Braum were incredibly busy after that.
Meanwhile, Wilbur started to stay in the Pearl of the Sea, a famous hotel owned by the Kiwanis Club in Magic City.
In the next few days, he was looking through all of the Kiwanis Club's accounts, operational affairs, and structures.
…
At Northseecher, Orin humbly entered a certain special department.
He was in a moderately-sized meeting room, and three old men sat there with serious looks on their faces.
After Orin was led inside, he bowed respectfully.
"Have a seat," one of them said.
Orin complied and sat down.
"Your performance in the past two years has been great, especially in the last year. You managed to solve the scam in North Manand and saved fifty thousand of our people. Everyone's full of praise for you."
"It's all just part of my responsibilities," Orin said humbly.
Orin suddenly had an uneasy feeling in his heart.
He never expected the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense to be so feared.
"You need to make a choice," one of them added.
Orin fell into silence.
Those three old men were the staff and advisors of the highest leaders, and also part of the supervisory committee of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense.
They helped the leaders make plans, as well as observed everything in the department.
Whether it was their power, influence, or status, they were all incredibly important.
Someone at his level always needed to maintain absolute respect in front of them and could never offend them.
Orin thought for a long time before he said slowly, "Is this the opinion of the leaders?"
"It's not, for now, but you know that they will listen to us."
