Leaving You Bereft (Willow and Julian) novel Chapter 184

Late at night, in the Chapman residence, the moonlight shone through the white curtains, spilling onto the ivory white bed, wrapping the woman’s body in a robe made of moonlight.

Willow was sound asleep.

Suddenly, a tall figure stepped into the room, bathed in the moonlight. He approached the bed gently and crouched down next to it.

Since Willow couldn’t hear a thing, she was unaware.

Julian knelt before her, listening to her shallow breathing while staring at her pale face. After suppressing the urge for so long, he finally raised his hand and stroked her fragile features.

If he could turn back time, that night, he would never have returned to Brindley. her be gripped by fear in the middle of the night.

Every time Julian closed his eyes, he would recall the way Willow spoke. When he remembered how her voice was distorted, it tore him apart inside.

I’m sorry! Willow, I’m so sorry!

It wasn’t Grandview Manor, nor was it Radiance Manor. Instead, it was a completely unfamiliar place.

Shes on the huge white bed, staring blankly ahead. Her intuition told her that this was Julian’s domain.

Barefoot, she stepped off the bed and pushed open the floortoceiling windows leading to the balcony.

As she looked out, the villa was enormous and decorated luxuriously. There were dozens of bodyguards dressed in black, standing guard all around the villa.

They sealed off the entire area like an impenetrable fortress.

Willow guessed that Julian had taken her away, but she couldn’t tell whether she was still in Brindley or not.

It was cold outside, so she didn’t stay on the balcony for long.

She returned to the bedroom and leaned against the headboard, quietly waiting for Julian’s arrival.

While waiting for him, everything felt so quiet, as if time had stopped.

About ten minutes later, Julian entered the room.

It was freezing outside, but inside the room, it was warm like spring. Julian wore a light gray shirt and black slacks. Under the morning light, his sharp features were particularly defined.

He walked over, knelt beside the bed, and gently took her hand.

Willow sat there in a white bathrobe, her long, dark hair flowing down her back. It exuded a fragile quality about her.

She didn’t say a word, but just lowered her gaze and stared at him.

Julian said gently, What would you like for breakfast? A specialist will be coming this afternoon to check on you. Willow, I believe that if I search the world for the best doctors, we’ll find a way to restore your hearing.

Willow didn’t respond and just continued looking at him in silence.

Her world was quiet, so she couldn’t hear a word Julian was saying
