Jennifer's big black eyes looked at the tears in the corners of her great-grandmother's eyes, though she said she wasn't crying because there were tears in the corners of her eyes. She took a tissue from the table and carefully wiped the tears from the corners of Marivic's eyes.
She couldn't let her grandma cry and didn't know who bullied her.
"Jennifer." Marivic hugged her and was very moved.
"Mom, who is she?" Clara looked at Jennifer and asked.
"Aunt, she is the child Sylvia had with another man. Now she has been brought to the Bridgewater family to be raised." Sheryl immediately explained to Clara.
"Humph, it turned out it's her." Clara looked at Jennifer with disgust on her face, "She's so scheming at a young age, and she's really good at coaxing adults. I really don't know what Arthur is thinking. He would rather be with someone who has been with another. A woman who had a child with another man and he is not willing to marry such a beautiful and classy Sheryl. I wonder how he has done well for so many years. Isn’t that a joke? "
"You talk too much even though you just came back, like a talkative woman. It seems that you haven't made any progress in the past few years outside the country." Jessan looked at her coldly and scolded her.
"Dad, I'm right. The richest man in the wealthy Bridgewater family and the president of the Bridgewater Corporation is actually raising a child of another man and wants to be with a woman who has given birth to a child with another man. That is ridiculous and odd. That is a discredit to the Bridgewater family," Clara objected unconvincingly, "It's because of your abetting that Arthur became what he is now."
"What is he doing now? Tell me." Jessan was furious, "Now the Bridgewater Corporation is booming and has contributed to society and the people. He is a successful entrepreneur and an excellent businessman. What's wrong with him?"
"Hmph, Dad, you are always so partial." Clara snorted disapprovingly. He was like that every time. As long as it related to Arthur, he would continue to defend him.
She wanted to show him what would happen to his proud and confident grandson. Soon, Arthur would be in trouble. Thinking of the plan she had carefully arranged, a sinister smile appeared on her lips.
"Kids, breakfast is ready. Let's go have breakfast quickly." Marivic didn't want the little ones to see the old man arguing with his daughter, so she immediately sent the little ones to the dining room to have breakfast.
"Hello, auntie." Elaine, who was standing aside, suddenly had Sheryl whispering a few words in her ear and then immediately ran to Clara, calling in a sweet voice.
"Are you Elaine?" Clara looked at Elaine with love in her eyes. Earlier on she only looked at Chris, Hendrick and Jennifer, but ignored Elaine.
"Mommy, I want to eat some sausages." Elaine immediately spoke.
"Okay, I'll take it for you." Clara happened to be sitting next to her and immediately reached out to take the plate. She picked several and put them into Elaine's bowl and gave the rest to everyone, except Jennifer. Finally, an empty plate was placed on the table.
Jennifer looked at the empty plate, licked her lower lip, and said nothing.
Elaine looked at her proudly.
She had already seen that Jennifer wanted to eat the sausage, so she deliberately asked for it.
Clara glanced at Jennifer with disgust. She didn't know what kind of wild man's child was being raised by the Bridgewater family. She was disgusted by her.
