Bridgewater Family Mansion.
After Arthur parked the car, he opened the back door of the car.
Sylvia had fallen asleep in the car with Jennifer in her arms.
He gently closed the car door, took out a cigar, held it between his index and middle fingers, leaned against the door, lit it, slowly put it in his mouth, took a puff, and then exhaled the smoke.
The night was quiet.
With the cigarette butt between his fingers, his handsome face was inscrutable.
After finishing one cigarette.
He opened the car door.
Sylvia and Jennifer were still asleep.
He climbed in and reached out to carry them.
Sylvia was awakened by a familiar scent, she sat up, and looked around. She was actually sleeping in Arthur's bedroom.
"You're awake." Arthur was standing in front of the bed, looking at her."
She looked up at him in surprise, "I'm sorry, I fell asleep."
"It's okay." Arthur looked at her with deep eyes, "Did you have a nightmare? You actually cried."
"I..." Sylvia hurriedly wiped her face, but there were still tears dripping on her face. She wiped it away and turned around to carry Jennifer, about to leave."
"Where are you going?" Arthur stopped her."
"I'll take Jennifer to sleep downstairs."
"No need, you can sleep here; I'll sleep downstairs." Arthur stopped her.
Sylvia wanted to say more, but he had already snatched Jennifer from her hand and put her on the bed, saying, "Come with me; I need to talk to you."
Sylvia's heart sank for a moment.
This man still had something to say to her in the middle of the night, and there must be nothing good about it.
Arthur walked towards the study.
Sylvia followed apprehensively.
What was this man going to do? Did he show a rare kindness to both her and her daughter that night so he wouldn't regret it?
"It's for you." He smiled faintly, his bright eyes deep and unpredictable.
"You are giving it to me?" Sylvia was shocked, she looked at it for a long time, but didn't dare to reach out and take it.
"Quick, take it." Arthur couldn't wait anymore and urged.
"Why did you give this to me?" Sylvia felt unbelievable, but suddenly remembered something, "Did Chris ask you to buy it?"
Arthur's face darkened, wondering where her thoughts had gone.
Would he only do things if Chris asked him to?
If she was indeed suspicious of him buying the things Chris mentioned a few times ago, then this time, there should be absolutely no suspicion.
It was something he wanted to give to her.
"Don't take the children's words seriously. They are still young and don't understand adults. You don't need to waste money just to please them." Sylvia said seriously, "Quickly return them; I deserve it, but not such expensive things."
Such a large bouquet of roses made of gold worth at least several million, he was really not willing to give up.
She turned around and was about to leave.
