"Jennifer, what was your mom talking about with that Uncle?" In the dining room, Arthur asked Jennifer very kindly when she came running back.
Jennifer blinked her big eyes and spoke sweetly, "I couldn't hear them very clearly, but I probably heard them talking about children or something."
Children?
Arthur squinted his icy eyes.
It seems that Jennifer is very likely to be Smith's child.
It turned out that this woman had been hooking up with another man for the past six years, and she might even have cheated on him during their marriage.
No wonder she managed to get Smith to perform surgery on his Grandmother that night.
Hmph, adulterer, adulterer!
Arthur's face tightened.
Jennifer tilted her head and looked at her Daddy.
Daddy's face was dark, and he definitely scolded Mommy in his heart.
"Hey, you can't scold Mommy." Jennifer didn't know what 'adulterer' meant, but judging by Arthur's expression, he was definitely insulting her Mommy. Thus, she slammed her little hand on the table and shouted loudly, “Just now, you promised me that you would take care of my Mommy. Have you forgotten so quickly?"
Arthur was stunned.
How did the little girl know that he was scolding Sylvia?
"No, I was praising your Mommy." For the first time in his life, he was scolded by a little child, but he couldn't get angry, so he could only smile.
"Liars are not well-behaved at all." Jennifer pouted.
Arthur felt a little embarrassed.
"Jennifer, do you want to eat anything else?" He took the menu and asked ingratiatingly.
"No need, I'm already full." Jennifer shook her head, looking like a little adult.
"Then what do you want? Like toys, beautiful clothes, or somewhere to play. Uncle will take you there later." Arthur continued to ask.
This temptation was quite big. After all, Jennifer was still young. When she was successfully tempted, she looked at Arthur and replied in a low voice, "Then I'll ask Mommy first."
It meant that unless Mommy agreed, she dared not take it.
Just as they were talking, they saw Sylvia walking over from outside.
Arthur squinted his eyes, "Okay, you can ask."
Uh, that's what should be said!
The corners of Arthur's lips curled up.
"Okay." Sylvia had to agree."
Arthur slowly stood up, holding the little hand, and walked outside.
Sylvia had to follow behind them.
Jennifer followed her Daddy happily, skipping around and chattering from time to time.
"Jennifer, do you like me or Uncle Charles." After buying her a bunch of toys and clothes, Arthur picked her up and asked softly, afraid that Sylvia would hear.
The little girl was really cute, understanding, and thoughtful, but her heart was not on his side, and she was a bit unwilling.
"If you treat Mommy well, then I'll like you. If you treat Mommy badly, I'll like Uncle Charles." Jennifer replied after thinking about it while holding her Snow White toy.
"Then do you want me to be your Father? Or Uncle Charles to be your Father?"
"If you treat Mommy well, I'm willing to let you be my Father." Jennifer still couldn't live without her Mommy.
Arthur listened helplessly.
