"Chris, Hendrick." Sylvia called softly through the door panel.
The two little guys were sitting in the house bored when they suddenly heard Sylvia's voice. They immediately ran to the door happily and screamed excitedly through the door panel. "Mommy."
"Chris, Hendrick, you two listen, apologize to your dad first. Your great-grandmother brought a lot of delicious food, and mommy didn't eat either. Can we go eat together?" Sylvia asked softly.
"Okay." The two little guys agreed in unison.
Sylvia smiled slightly: "Then wait for me."
She walked towards Arthur's study.
In the study.
Arthur crossed his legs and scrolled through his phone with his fingers. From time to time, he picked up the tea cup and took a sip impatiently, with a thick cloud hanging over his face.
Sylvia walked in hurriedly.
"Mr. Bridgewater, I'm sorry. Hendrick and Christopher shouldn't have contradicted you. I apologize to you on their behalf. It's so late and the children haven't had dinner yet. Let them go out to eat first. I will educate them later. Can they come and apologize to you?" She asked humbly with a fawning smile on her face.
But Arthur seemed not to hear it and continued to drink tea and scroll through his phone.
"Mr. Bridgewater, you are the father of the children, don't you feel bad for them? Christopher had stomach problems before. If he is hungry, his stomach problems would attack, which is very painful. Can you bear to have him so young? If you have any objections to me, just come at me. Please don't get angry with the children." Sylvia continued to speak kindly, both soft and hard.
Arthur’s slightly tilted left foot shook and his slippers fell to the ground.
Sylvia immediately bent down, picked up the slippers and put them on his feet as gently as the wind.
Arthur glanced at her indifferently with half-narrowed eyes.
He didn't believe that Sylvia would willingly carry his shoes for him. She hated him so much now!
"Mr. Bridgewater, let me add some water for you." Seeing that there was no water in his water glass, Sylvia hurriedly grabbed his water glass and filled him with steaming boiling water, then handed it to her with both hands.
Amid Sylvia's humiliation and deliberate flattery, Arthur's expression finally softened.
He gave the key to Sylvia.
Sylvia ran away quickly.
When Chris and Hendrick came out and saw Mommy, they all threw themselves into her arms.
Sylvia hugged the two little guys, her eyes moist.
"Mommy, we're hungry, let's go eat." Chris said weakly, touching his belly.
He had to endure it really hard to fight against his father today, especially when grandma brought the delicious food upstairs, his belly was growling.
