Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 30

Lily Windsor was stunned.

How could her inner thoughts be known to this four- or five-year-old girl? It was an absolute secret!

For a moment, she took a few steps back, avoiding Wayne's gaze with a guilty conscience.

Wayne dragged her aside, and the two of them began to argue.

"And you guys, I deliberately didn't buy imported medicine for great-Grandma too, just because you want her to die early, so that you can divide up the Shaw family's property. I'm right." The little finger pointed at Wayne and his wife once again, with a furrowed brow, a face filled with disgust and contempt.

The couple's faces changed immediately!

‘Oh, my goodness, is this still a little girl of four or five years old? How does she even know this!’

Today, Madeline summoned her sons and daughters-in-law to return home, and they were all on edge.

Madeline was indeed seriously ill during this period, and the entire Shaw family's fortune rested in her hands. Speculation was rife that she was about to draft her will to distribute the family assets.

As a result, they all hurried over to the villa.

However, none of them expected that the first person they would see was Sylvia, returning with her two children.

Six years ago, Madeline had secretly given Mary Jane a substantial dowry, nearly depleting the Shaw family's wealth. This time, they were determined not to allow that to happen again.

"Hey, adults are really hypocritical." Christopher remarked, looking at the disapproving expressions of the grown-ups.

Madeline's hand, clutching the cane, was trembling.

Initially, she had held onto a glimmer of hope, wanting to arrange things for Sylvia and her husband before her passing, providing an explanation for her daughter. But now, it appeared that was no longer possible.

Sylvia's eyes flashed with a sarcastic and disdainful sneer. She had seen these so-called relatives only once in her childhood.

Back when her mother was seriously ill and in despair, she hadn't even considered them. And now, there was no need to.

Her sole reason for coming here was to see her grandmother one last time.

Six years ago, after her grandmother had secretly rescued her, Sylvia had purchased a cemetery to bury her mother's ashes. It was her grandmother's support that had given her the strength to persevere during her most trying times.

Throughout the years in the United States, her grandmother had regularly reassured her over the phone, urging her to focus on her studies and granting her peace of mind.

She was immensely grateful to her grandmother.

Before the day ended, Sylvia had finally settled into an apartment with Christopher and Jennifer, making plans to fly back to the United States in three days.

Once they were settled, Christopher sneaked into the study and opened the laptop that Sylvia had brought with her.

Today, at Grandma's house, those people had called them terrible names!

Seeing that the scumbag father had already started another family at Gare de Lyon, he didn't get angry.

But scumbag had abandoned Mommy and them! That was infuriating!

Before this, he had never realized how much his mother had suffered, how his uncle didn't love her, and how his father had turned his back on her.

As a little man, he felt it was time to protect her!

After a while, a face appeared on the computer screen that looked exactly like his, Arthur Bridgewater, the president of the Bridgewater Corporation and the richest man in Paris...

‘Humph, you may start with chaos, but you won't end up victorious, you scumbag!’

Christopher glared at the handsome face on the screen and muttered under his breath, a sly smile playing on his lips.
