Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 116

Contemplating the young age of the child, Sylvia resolved to find a way to sneak in and see Hendrick tonight; otherwise, she wouldn't be at ease.

Having been a young mistress in the Bridgewater mansion for several years, she was intimately acquainted with the layout. Positioned on the north side, there was a small door providing access to the back garden. This route would make it convenient to enter Hendrick's room.

Without a moment's hesitation, she sprinted towards it.

Certainly, the small door was firmly locked from the inside.

Observing the door, she noted that it could be opened from the inside by climbing in, providing her a way to see her son.

A Rolls-Royce pulled up.

"Arthur, is that Sylvia? Why is she scaling the wall over there?" Sheryl exclaimed from inside the car, pointing to a figure outside the fence.

In fact, she had spotted Sylvia from a distance.

Arthur raised his gaze, and his eyes narrowed instantly.

This woman had audaciously arrived at his doorstep in the middle of the night and was scaling the wall.

In the morning, she had brought a knife to his office, nearly attempting murder. Now, she was at his house, scaling the wall. What could be her intention?

His eyes narrowed, and his fingers gripped the steering wheel tightly.

This woman must have lost her sanity!

Typically, he would have entered directly through the main gate. However, tonight's social gathering dinner was on the north side, leading him to exit from the viaduct unexpectedly. Little did he anticipate the scene unfolding before him.

"Drive the car in and get some rest early. We'll take Hendrick and Elaine to have some fun," Arthur instructed Sheryl as he handed over the car, then turned his attention toward Sylvia.

Seated in the driver's seat, she observed the woman struggling to climb, a smirk forming on her lips.

A woman scaling a wall at night can only mean one thing—she's doing it for someone who holds utmost importance to her.

Certainly, it wasn't for Arthur! If they were looking for Arthur, scaling the walls of Bridgewater Mansion was unnecessary. They could have gone to Bridgewater Corporation instead.

There was only one plausible explanation!

It had to be Hendrick.

Sylvia gazed at her right hand, the glass tip embedded in the palm. The pain caused her to break into a cold sweat, and fresh blood began to flow.

"Explain yourself. What brings you here? Why are you scaling the wall in the middle of the night?" He peered down at her, reprimanding her with regal authority.

She bowed her head in silence, offering no response.

Suddenly, he seized one of her arms and declared, "You won't tell me? Well, then I'll take you to the police station and see if you're more talkative there."

He hoisted her up and left.

"No, Mr. Bridgewater, please. I just wished to visit Bridgewater Mansion. After all, I spent two years here, and leaving feels a bit difficult for me." Sylvia reluctantly spoke with a forced expression.

She wouldn't miss this cold and haunting place!

Arthur chuckled upon hearing her words, "Sylvia, I find that hard to believe."

Especially considering she had never sought a divorce before.
