The words had barely left Honora's lips when Lucius froze.
Slap!
Before she could process what was happening, a sharp sting exploded across her cheek.
“Didn't I tell you to take the pill?”
Honora was stunned by the blow. It took her a moment to recover, her voice choked with tears. “I… I just wanted to have your baby, Mr. Lincoln.”
Lucius grabbed her face, his expression vicious. “Who the hell do you think you are? You think you’re worthy of carrying my child?”
He shoved her away, stood up, and yanked her hair, forcing her to roll over onto her stomach.
“Since you’re so disobedient, so unwilling to take the pill, fine. I’ll get rid of it for you myself!”
His movements became even rougher, more brutal.
“Mr. Lincoln, I won’t do it again, I swear! I’ll make an appointment tomorrow to terminate the pregnancy! Please, just let me go…”
Honora’s desperate pleas were ignored. The pain in her body grew more intense with each passing second. Finally, Lucius released her with a curse—“Disgusting”—and put on his bathrobe. He opened the door and ordered his men to drag the unconscious Honora away.
A pool of blood stained the spot where she had collapsed. Lucius merely glanced at it coldly and ordered someone to change the soiled sheets.
However, Honora’s actions had given him an idea. Livia was unwilling to be with him, wasn't she? But what if she were pregnant with his child? Would she still be so resistant then?
…
The next day, Larissa and Neville went to handle the legal proceedings for Judson Pharmaceuticals.
