Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 829

"Alright," Haskell agreed, his palm gently resting on his legs, feeling the warmth spreading through his muscles.

Half an hour later, Sage and Snowy uncoiled from Haskell's legs and slithered back into Larissa's bag. Their unique massage technique was designed to stimulate circulation and relax the muscles.

Larissa walked to Haskell's side and extended her hand. "Come on. Let's try."

Haskell took her hand, his grip tightening slightly as their palms met. Larissa felt the faint tremor in his fingertips and knew that he was more nervous than he was letting on.

"Don't be tense," she said softly, her other hand supporting his waist. "Slowly."

Haskell took a deep breath and pushed himself up. His legs were still stiff, but he could feel a noticeable improvement in muscle strength compared to the past few days.

One step.

His left foot moved forward, knee bending, calf muscles tensing as it planted firmly on the floor.

Two steps.

His right foot followed. The movement was slow, but each step was steadier than the last.

Larissa held her breath, watching him walk forward, step by step, until he stopped and looked down at her, a smile gracing his lips. "I did it."

She looked up at him, a warmth spreading through her chest.

"Yes, you did," she replied, her voice filled with unmistakable pride.

Haskell gazed down at her, then reached out to cup the back of her neck, pressing his forehead against hers. "Larissa," he said, his voice husky, "thank you."

Larissa blinked away the sudden emotion, deliberately scoffing. "Words are cheap. Once you're fully recovered and we're married, you can show me your gratitude."

Haskell’s chest rumbled with a low laugh. "Alright. I promise I won't disappoint you."
