Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 750

As she spoke, she jabbed a silver needle into the hitman’s neck. While he flinched in pain, she forced the pill into his mouth.

“You wanted to kill yourself, didn’t you? I’ll let you experience what dying feels like.”

Larissa then gave her orders. “Nightveil, interrogate him tonight. Tomorrow, hand him over to the police along with Paxton.”

“Got it.” Nightveil effortlessly hoisted the hitman over her shoulder and left.

After Nightveil was gone, Haskell finally looked away from her retreating figure and said, “I think I know your friend.”

Larissa didn’t correct his use of the word “friend.” Instead, she smiled. “Oh? From where?”

Haskell thought for a moment. “Three years ago. A private gala on the shores of Lake Zurich.”

He paused, as if recalling the memory. “She was a special guest of the host. She was said to be…”

“The second-in-command of the Global Talent Alliance,” Haskell finished with a light laugh, his eyes locked on Larissa, watching for any flicker of a reaction.

That, Larissa hadn't expected. The gala had indeed happened. Nightveil had been forced to briefly reveal her identity to recruit the prodigal daughter of a Swiss banker.

But after that event, all records of Nightveil’s involvement had been scrubbed by the organization. Only those directly involved at the gala knew of her true status.

“You were at that gala?” Larissa asked, then immediately dismissed the idea. If Haskell had been there, Nightveil would have recognized him.
