Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 680

“Haha, they aren’t expensive gifts, but I’m sure Larissa will love them,” Zendar said confidently. “After all, she’s always valued the sentiment behind things.”

“You’re right,” Kimberly agreed. “To be so incredibly skilled and brilliant, yet to have kept such a pure heart… Larissa is truly the most remarkable child I’ve ever met.”

...

That night, in a dilapidated cowshed in a remote village, Vivica shivered under a pile of filthy, foul-smelling blankets, staring up at the sliver of sky visible through a crack in the roof. She had lost all track of time, each day an eternity of misery.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching. She quickly looked away, curling herself into a tight ball in the corner.

“Yeah, she’s had enough of a lesson. Let her go in a couple of days… Right, I got it. You should see her, she’s like a stray dog now.”

The man who had abducted her was on the phone as he pushed open the cowshed door. He walked over and gave Vivica’s huddled form a couple of kicks. “Hey. I’ve got good news for you.”

She didn’t move.

“Tch. Don’t tell me she’s already dead.”

The man hung up and squatted down, yanking Vivica’s head back by her hair. She let out a muffled groan of pain.

“So you’re not dead. Just playing possum,” he sneered, forcing her to look at him. “Listen up. I’m letting you go in two days. How about that? Happy?”

Vivica remained silent, her face a blank mask.

“Not talking? Tch. No fun at all.”

He released her hair and left, bored.
