Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 615

Haskell hadn’t even had a chance to react to the director’s news before Sire let out a cold snort from behind him.

Rigby’s voice was laced with bitter sarcasm. “Mr. Palmer, Thatch is your father. If you couldn’t bring yourself to punish him, you could have just told us. You didn’t have to orchestrate this elaborate performance.”

Haskell’s eyes narrowed. He turned his wheelchair to face Rigby. “What are you talking about?”

“He’s gone because you sent him away, didn’t you?” Rigby shot back, his voice rising with anger. “Why bother having the director put on this act, pretending you knew nothing about it?”

“What?” the director stammered, breaking into a cold sweat. “What act?”

Haskell, surprisingly, laughed. “Why would I feel pity for Thatch? And why would I secretly send him away?”

“Because he’s your father,” Rigby said.

“He’s your father, too,” Haskell replied calmly. “And you weren’t planning on letting him off the hook.”

Rigby was momentarily speechless. “That’s different,” he retorted. “I’ve never met him. I have no feelings for him other than resentment for abandoning me. I wouldn’t hesitate just because he’s my father.”

Haskell nodded thoughtfully. “I see. So this is what you and Sire have been stewing over all day?”

Rigby was stunned that Haskell had seen through him so easily. He didn’t know how to respond.
