“I’m not after the Judson family’s money…” Leopold whispered, his voice hoarse.
“It’s all the same,” Larissa said dismissively.
Leopold felt a bitter pang in his chest. She was right. His father was after it, which meant, in her eyes, he was too.
“Larissa… I’ll go now,” he said, his shoulders slumping in defeat as he turned and walked out of her office.
Once he was gone, Larissa didn’t dwell on the unpleasant encounter. She opened Twitter and checked her latest post. The comment section was a war zone, but her follower count was soaring. In less than a day, she had gained over a million new followers.
Two hours ago, Leopold had posted another tweet in her defense.
[Hurting my sister is hurting me. Stop the hate. You have no right to judge her!]
The post had only added fuel to the fire.
[LMAO, Leopold’s fans are out there fighting his battles, and he just stabs them in the back.]
[Feel so bad for his fans! I can’t even bring myself to call them idiots anymore!]
[It’s pretty obvious Leopold was just trying to get his sister’s forgiveness with that public apology. And his fans go and attack her. Smooth move. Like artist, like fans. A perfect match!]
[Has anyone been managing Leopold since his agent, Kitty, took the fall for him? His public image is a total dumpster fire.]
[Well, his fifteen minutes of fame are just about up. He’ll be irrelevant soon.]
Larissa liked that last comment before clicking on another trending topic.
