First, they poach the staff. Then, they steal the company’s resources. It was a classic strategy, and for a company already on shaky ground, it would have been devastating.
Unfortunately for them, this was her Starlight Media.
Lucius had made two critical miscalculations.
First, she had money—a lot of it—and a network of incredibly talented people.
Second, she was the author of “Heaven’s Will”. The rights were hers to sell.
Suddenly, Larissa thought of Honora. Lucius had taken her for a reason, likely to squeeze information about Larissa out of her—information like her identity as Field of Lari.
With that, she dialed Nightveil’s number.
“What’s the situation with Honora?”
“She was taken from the Caldwell estate to the Neverending Night, a club owned by the Lincoln family.”
“Has Lucius seen her?”
“Not yet. Our people are watching the club. Lucius hasn’t shown up. After meeting with a few smaller entertainment companies, he went straight to Gale Entertainment. I was thinking of trying to extract Honora, but I haven’t found an opportunity yet.”
“Get me the contact information for Livia, the Gale Entertainment chairman’s daughter. Tell her that Lucius has Honora stashed at the Neverending Night—a damsel in distress he’s planning to keep as his hidden mistress. If Livia actually goes to confront Honora, have our people grab Honora in the chaos.”
