Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 381

What exactly had he dreamt about her? How was he supposed to describe it?

Ever since his legs had been crippled, Haskell’s sleep had been fitful at best. But the night after he met Larissa, he’d slept more peacefully than he had in years.

Maybe it was because she had told him, with such conviction, that she could heal his legs. Or maybe it was because she had agreed to return to Regal City and marry him.

Haskell was certain it was the latter. Because…

“That night,” Haskell said, his voice steady and honest, “I dreamed we got married.”

It was as simple as that. His subconscious had already decided.

Larissa raised an eyebrow. After inserting one fine needle into his leg, she prepared a second. “Seriously? A dream that tame?”

A small smile played on Haskell’s lips. “What’s so tame about marrying you? Did you forget what happens on the wedding night?”

Larissa snorted with laughter. “Oh, right! Well, you’re quite the rogue, having a dream like that after we’d only just met.”

“I suppose I can’t help but be a rogue when I’m around you,” he admitted easily.

Larissa’s fingers twisted another needle into place. “That’s fine by me. I like you best when you’re not so proper.”

After the playful banter, her tone shifted. “I’ve settled things with the Judson family today. What about you? Have you tied up Faith yet?”

“I’ll do it as soon as I get back,” Haskell replied. “Now that you’ve handled your end, I can’t fall behind. You saw them earlier—if I don’t act decisively, your grandmother and the others won’t feel comfortable entrusting you to me.”

Larissa chuckled, her hands never ceasing their precise work. “Alright, then. After taking Bryant home, I'll return to enjoy the show here.”

...

Two hours later, the treatment was finished.

“Stay and have lunch at my place before you head back,” Larissa said, carefully removing the last needle from his leg.

Haskell was about to agree when his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID: Thatch.
