Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 320

As Larissa stepped into the CEO’s office, Crispin closed the door behind her. At the far end of the room, by the floor-to-ceiling windows, sat Haskell in his wheelchair.

A laptop rested on his legs. His head was slightly bowed as he worked, his posture focused. From his seated position, the large monitor on his desk was useless to him.

Even so, he was captivating. Sunlight streamed through the glass, casting a golden halo on his impeccably styled hair. The shadows accentuated the sharp, elegant lines of his face. His long, slender fingers danced across the keyboard, the soft tapping sound almost melodic.

For a moment, Larissa felt hesitant to disturb him. But then he looked up, and a gentle smile spread across his face, his deep eyes lighting up like stars in the night sky.

“Larissa, you’re here.”

His gaze was tender, his smile pure and genuine. Larissa recalled what Avril had said at the auction house—that for a man in his position, Haskell was unusually sentimental, a trait that had left him vulnerable to Draven and Valeria’s betrayal.

“I like you,” she said suddenly, watching him wheel himself toward her.

Haskell paused, his hands stilling on the wheels of his chair. He stared at her, confirming the sincerity in her expression, then a playful smile touched his lips. “Oh? You’re only just now deciding you like me? Have I been pining away all by myself this whole time?”

Larissa sat on the sofa by the coffee table, unabashed. “Of course not. I just wanted to make sure you know, at all times, that I really do like you.”

He chuckled softly. “In that case, feel free to say it more often. I quite enjoy hearing it.”
