Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 279

Finley, who had been anxiously watching over Honora, whipped his head around to face Draven, his expression a mixture of shock and fury.

If he had known Draven was this unreliable, he never would have agreed to work with him.

“What is going on?” Paxton whispered harshly to his son, his eyes wide with alarm.

If Finley was really behind this, their family would be torn to shreds by the powerful people in this room.

“It wasn’t me, Dad,” Finley insisted, shaking his head.

Paxton let out a small sigh of relief. The seven other victims, while not as powerful as the Palmers, were still influential figures in Regal City. United, they could easily crush the Judson family.

A small smile played on Larissa’s lips. “Well, Haskell,” she murmured, “it looks like the dog-eat-dog show is about to begin.”

This was why they had allowed Draven and Finley’s plot to unfold. They had let them escalate the situation, knowing that the bigger the chaos, the harder their fall would be.

“It’s time to settle things with Draven tonight,” Haskell said thoughtfully.

Hearing Draven’s accusation, Zoltan erupted in a rage. “You insolent fool! Who do you think you are to meddle in your brother’s affairs?”

Though the words stung, Draven quickly feigned remorse. “I was wrong, Grandpa, Bro. I overstepped. I shouldn’t have doubted Larissa. I shouldn’t have questioned your choice.”

“Draven,” Zoltan said coldly, “don’t think a simple apology will get you out of this. I’ll deal with you later.”
