Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 214

She rubbed her temples, the weariness evident in her expression. The accident had thrown their entire family into turmoil.

“Alright, Mom. You go get some rest,” Finley said. “I’ll probably be here for a while.”

He watched Vivica step into the elevator, and once the doors closed, he turned and walked toward Leopold’s room.

Inside, Honora was still muttering to herself.

“I wonder if Larissa was bluffing about being able to cure Haskell’s legs. If she really can, and things with Solon don’t work out, I can always go back to Haskell. I refuse to believe I can’t land at least one of them.”

Her throat was dry. She took a bottle of imported water from her purse and took a sip, then pulled out a small compact mirror to check her reflection.

She was pleased with what she saw. Her features were lovely, and the pampered life she’d led for twenty years had given her flawless skin that hid any minor imperfections.

She had always maintained a certain refined distance as part of her “talented lady” persona, but if she was willing to drop the act and truly focus on seducing a man, she was confident she could win over any creature ruled by its baser instincts.

After admiring herself for another moment, she put the mirror away and took out what looked like a lipstick tube. She twisted it open, revealing a small, hidden syringe.

“Alright, Leopold, time for your injection,” she murmured. “Just keep sleeping. That way you won’t have to deal with the mess our family is in. See? I’m still looking out for you.”
