Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 205

Vivica knew she was no match for Larissa in a war of words. Swallowing the urge to retort, she hurried after her husband and left the room.

“Hmph. And they wanted to settle a score with me,” Larissa muttered, popping another grape into her mouth.

Sapphira and Neville discreetly left the room, giving Haskell and Larissa some private time to themselves.

Crispin followed suit.

Once the door was closed, Haskell’s gaze locked onto Larissa, his eyes shining with open admiration and deep affection. “Crashing into Leopold was a brilliant move, beautifully executed. You might be the only person in the world who could pull off something so audacious and walk away unscathed.”

Larissa smiled at his praise. “Don’t go getting any ideas. I wouldn’t have taken a risk like that without being a hundred percent sure of the outcome.”

“My grandfather asked if we should postpone the engagement. I told him no,” Haskell said.

“I figured as much,” Larissa replied. “I told my family the same thing.”

They shared a smile. Neither of them had been seriously injured in the crash. Haskell was eager to hold their engagement party and announce their relationship to the world; he didn't want to wait another day.

Having had her fill of grapes, Larissa wiped her hands with a tissue. “Come here. It’s time for your treatment.”

“Alright.” Haskell wheeled his chair closer.
