Irresistible Boss Succumbing to Your Touch (Maria Anita) novel Chapter 3

Flavian’s POV

The phone on my desk was ringing. I answered it, and my secretary informed me there was a woman who wanted to speak with me, but she hadn't identified herself. She transferred the call, and as soon as I picked up, I heard Sabrina's voice.

"Flavian, I need you..." She seemed to be crying and anxious, almost out of control.

"Oh, Sabrina, what is it? Are you starting this again? It's not going to work this time. Don't call me again." I was ready to hang up, but she stopped me.

"DON'T HANG UP, FLAVIAN!" She screamed. "If you don't come here, I'm going to kill myself. I'll jump out the window."

"Then jump, Sabrina!" I hung up the phone. I wasn't going to fall for this manipulation.

Soon after, I received a message on my cell phone. It was a photo of Sabrina with disheveled hair, smeared makeup, sitting on the windowsill with her feet dangling outside, looking down. Below the photo was the message "if you don't come, I'll jump. I'm at the Savanah."

"Damn it!" I really wanted to ignore this, Sabrina had tried to kill herself once before, back before we got married. I couldn't simply ignore this - it might be just manipulation, but then again, it might not be.

I left the police station and sent her a message as I got into my car. I just said I was coming. I arrived at the hotel, and the receptionist promptly gave me the room number.

"Sabrina, open the door," I said as soon as I knocked.

The door opened and I went in. When I turned and saw Sabrina, I was furious. My good faith had made me fall for another one of her tricks. She closed the door, locked it, and before I could think or move, she ran to the closet and locked the room key in a safe.

"What the hell is this, Sabrina?" Any slight feeling of pity I might have had for her evaporated, and at that moment, I would have thrown her out the window myself.

"I knew you would come," she laughed. "It worked once, and it worked again now. And you know what's going to happen? Like last time, you're going to come back to me."

What an absolute idiot I was that this bitch always managed to manipulate me. In the past, when we were still dating, I had doubts about my feelings for her, so I ended the relationship. I had already started seeing another girl when Sabrina's mother called me asking for help because Sabrina was locked in her room threatening to kill herself. I went there, broke down the door, and found her making small cuts on her wrists with a box cutter. She said she would kill herself because she couldn't live without me. After that, we got back together, and I proposed to her.

But it seemed the supposed suicide attempt was nothing but a scam. A scam that I, the idiot, fell for. And I fell for it twice, as I was locked in a hotel room with her while she was wearing nothing but underwear.

"You're crazy, Sabrina!" I reached into my pocket for my phone, but it wasn't there - in my hurry, I had left it in the car. I looked around the room but couldn't find the hotel phone either. This lunatic had surely locked everything in the safe.

"Crazy about you, Flavian." Sabrina laughed. "Well, not exactly about you, but I want you and you're mine, so..."

I forced a smile, grabbed the scarf from the wardrobe, and went over her on the bed. I took her wrists, placed them above her head, and tied them together tightly so she couldn't break free.

"Ooh, how delicious! Are you going to spank me too?" Sabrina teased, still thinking I would give in to her wishes. I smiled, anticipating how angry she would be when reality hit her.

"No, Sabrina, no spanking." I dragged her up the bed and tied the scarf to the headboard, securing it well so she couldn't get loose. I got off her and savored the moment when she realized she had been wrong about my intentions.

"Alright, Sabrina, now tell me the safe's password and I'll untie you before I leave. If you don't, I'll scream until someone opens this door and finds you naked and tied up here." I said, stepping away from the bed so she couldn't kick me.

"You jerk, you idiot!" she complained.

"Come on, Sabrina, I'm in a hurry," I warned. "Won't you talk?"

I went to the door and started banging and shouting. Help arrived quickly - two housekeepers and a security guard. I quickly explained what happened, adding that she was a crazy ex-wife, which I felt earned me the security guard's sympathy, and left there as fast as I could without looking back.

My only concern was how to explain this to little one, obviously I would tell her about this, and I would tell her immediately, before Sabrina had time to cause trouble. I left the hotel and went straight to Manu's workplace.
