An island far removed from the mainland in East Sea was a rehabilitation island among thirty such islands, all belonging to Quincy’s family. The third battalion of East Region had sent Quincy and Jane to this island to recuperate.

Their injuries were rather severe. Quincy had suffered a lot after being hit with two bullets, while Jane was able to survive, but due to a lack of oxygen when she had been submerged in the water for too long, her brain had suffered great damage, and she was in a coma at the moment.

The moment they arrived at the island, surgeries were carried out on them by the best doctors available on the island.

It had been a week since they were staying here.

Jane was still in a coma while Quincy had been given permission by the doctor to get off bed and move around.

Quincy immediately went to Jane’s ward to take a look at her.

After receiving the news from Jane’s doctor that her situation was stable and she would awaken within the next few days, Quincy finally felt a sense of relief. He watched Jane’s face which was regaining colors as the days went by and flashed a warm smile on his face.

He had to use a walking stick to get by around the ward. He was beyond bored after lying in bed for more than a week. He wanted to take a stroll around the island to blow off some steam.

The moment Quincy left the ward, two nurses responsible for Jane’s wellbeing were carrying a tray as they stood in front of Jane’s ward. Looking at Quincy’s back, one of the nurses muttered, “Who is that man who has left the ward just now? Mya, I have said this before, we should take turns to cover our shifts. If someone were to inflict harm on Jane while we’re gone, we can’t bear the consequences.”

As she said that, both nurses barged into Jane’s ward nervously. They only heaved a sigh of relief after seeing that there was nothing wrong with Jane.

“I have told you that the security on this island is top-class, and besides, Jane is our master’s girlfriend. Only someone who has major guts would dare to touch her in the first place. Even so, that person would be courting death.” Mya answered playfully.

“You looked scared as hell too just now!” The other nurse named Emelia threw a glance at Mya before turning her gaze onto Jane, “The master’s girlfriend is really pretty, but I wonder about her personality. She looks like the quiet type.”

“Don’t you have such delusions. She’s the master’s girlfriend after all, how can she be the quiet type? It’s not like you never see the other master’s girlfriend, all of them are so arrogant that they can’t even see us, the ordinary people.” Mya replied disapprovingly, “You can just take a look at the eighth master’s girlfriends, and every one of them is arrogant and snooty. “How could I be envious of them?” Mya said with twinkling eyes. Seeing that Emelia was still making fun of her, Mya couldn’t help but giggle, “I think you want to seduce the master too, am I not right? Tell me, do you want to do that too…”

The two nurses were having a good time with that topic.

At that moment, Jane’s eyelids fluttered as she slowly opened her eyes.

Jane slowly rolled her eyeballs as she surveyed her surroundings. Bright walls, large floor-to-ceiling windows, clean tables, and some flowers and fruits on top of it…

Where was she?

She had been in a coma for a week, so she still felt a little groggy. She couldn’t recall her current whereabouts at all.

The two nurses were delighted to see that Jane had awakened. They were smiling brightly at her.

When Jane saw those nurses, she suddenly realized with a shock that this was a hospital. She had been in a hospital once, and she knew that staying in a hospital would cost a lot. “You have not recovered from your injuries yet, so you can’t leave the hospital now.” Mya answered seriously.

Shouldn’t the hospital require me to pay first before treating me? I must have been staying here for many days. However, don’t you worry, although I don’t have any money now, I can work to earn money and repay you the amount of my treatment.” Jane said after giving it some thought.

The two nurses were stunned after hearing what Jane had said.

“Miss Jane, what are you talking about? You are the master’s girlfriend, why do you need to pay since you’re staying in the family’s hospital? Are you trying to give us some tips? No way, you can’t do that. We will be punished if we are found accepting tips.” Emelia explained to her with a solemn look on her face.

“The master we are talking about is Master Quincy. He’s your boyfriend. Have you forgotten about that?” The nurses replied at the same time.

“Just call me Jane.” Jane replied with a faint smile, “I don’t hail from any affluent family, I am just a girl from a village in the Northeast in China.”

“There’s no need for that, I am more comfortable wearing my own clothes. Grandpa knows very well of my character, so he won’t mind one bit.” Quincy flashed an innocent smile.

“Master, you better…” Korbin wanted to continue persuading Quincy, but Quincy had moved ahead while crutching the walking stick, “Korbin, don’t you worry about me. I want to continue my walk around the island. When grandpa arrives, I will naturally go meet him.”

At that time, sounds of birds chirping somewhere far away were accompanied by sounds made by humans. It sounded like they were having a good time.

Quincy followed the source of the sound as he passed by several rows of coconut trees before a beach opened up in front of his eyes. He stopped momentarily as his gaze lost its focus.

There were more than ten beautiful girls wearing revealing bikinis while playing a game of beach volleyball. They had amazing figures as well as beautiful features. They were not especially good at playing volleyball but it didn’t matter since they were just having a fun time together.

One of the pretty girls was receiving a pass as she knelt down onto the sand and her whole body collapsed to the sand.

After that, she spat out some sand while getting up, leaving behind two bowl-like shapes of depression in the sand.
