Inexperienced novel Chapter 25

Two more weeks have gone by, which means I basically have been here for a month. A lot of things have changed surprisingly. Virgo, Brad, and Cargo, are officially my best friends. Cargo and I have decided to do the tours together, we agreed that it's much funner and safer that way. Also for some reason Cargo and I have gotten closer over the past couple of days. Taking nightly strolls, hanging out at the beach, stargazing, going to the movies, etc. Also Virgo and Brad are officially together. I never thought that I would be where I am today with the relationships I formed, but I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad I made this decision and I don't plan on letting go of this life anytime soon.

I'm currently clocking in, Cargo beside me.

"Stop," I laugh as he blocks the monitor from reading my card.

"Why, there's no fun in that," he playfully pouts and I lightly smack him.

"Just for that, I'm going to ditch you wherever it is we're stationed to tour today," I stick my tongue out at him and he laughs.

"Actually..." My phone buzzes indicating I got a text.

"Hold that thought," I tell him and go to read it.

Virgo: Yo Lil you excited to be performing in your first musical today. Having a boyfriend with connections is sure nice ay?  I laugh and roll my eyes before replying.

Me: He's not my boyfriend. You're just desperate for double dates. Keep wishing?  I put my phone back in my pocket and turn towards Cargo.

"So when were you going to tell me that you put me in one of your musicals?" I ask.

"Ugh! Virgo," Cargo let's out an annoyed huff and I chuckle. "That's what I was about to tell you before she texted you. Instead of a tour today, we get to participate in the little mermaid musical. Before you deny it, you can just stay backstage and watch or sit through all performances in the crowd. Just come?" He pleads making puppy dog eyes and I sigh.

"How can I say no to that face," was my reply.

"Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you,!" He whoops and then picks me up and twirls me around. I laugh.

"Ok, ok now put me down so I can clock in already," I giggle and he sets me down. His hands are still around my waist and my hands are still placed around his neck. His eyes look into mine and I return his gaze. Just as he opens his mouth to say something my phone buzzes.

"Excuse me," I say clearing my throat.

"Right," he says and lets go. The feel of his fingers still burn and linger upon my hips.

"Virgo, I swear if you-"

"I'm afraid I'm not this Virgo little one," a familiar voice says and I grow pale.

"Lil are you ok?" Cargo asks and I nod my head, as I clock in.

"Little one, who is that and why does he sound so concerned?" Marquis asks.

"What do you want?! You can't just randomly call me!" I reply.

"Look at my little one, no longer a shy stuttering mess," Marquis coos and I sigh.

"Listen I told you not to call me that and if you're not-"

"Not what little one? You already know what I want," he says huskily and the image of his eyes darkening enter my mind and I find myself blushing.

"W-well you can't have it," I murmur and he chuckles as if he already knows the affect he has on me.

"Lil, are you sure you're fine?" Cargo asks.

"Yes," I reply and Marquis growls.

"Does he know?" Marquis asks.

"K-know what?"

"How your body reacts to me. How you beg for me to touch you. How you whimper at the lightest touch. Does he know your body like I do? Do you moan his name in your sleep? Does he know what your body truly craves for? Does he know how you-" I hang up the phone. I'm pretty sure I'm blushing hard, my heart is beating a mile a minute, and I find myself to be feeling a little warm.

"Lil?" Cargo asks and places a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"I-I' m alright it was just the wrong number," I reply. I know by the look on his face that he doesn't believe me but he doesn't push me either which makes me feel greatful.

"Alright. Ready?" He asks excitement fills his eyes which were just filled with concern and I nod, his excitement slightly contagious. "Then let's go!" He cheers and I laugh as I follow after him. We enter the auditorium where it was held and I gasp slightly at how big it was and grew nervous when I saw there were a lot of seats.

"Yes, well let's get backstage I would hate to keep Cargo waiting and miss rehearsal," Ale orders.

"Y-yes Ale," I whisper, once again his eyes grow slightly darker. Without another word we head backstage and meet up with Cargo.

The first show is about to begin and I'm freaking out. Somehow Cargo and Ale along with most of the cast convinced me to join in. Cargo is Prince Eric, and a girl who goes by the name Eileen plays Ariel. Ale plays Sebastian and I just play a background character...In every scene. May it be a mermaid or a fish, didn't really matter.

"Hey, hey deep breaths. Lil you go this don't worry," Cargo says and I look up at him.

"How do you know? Some of them look scary," I freak out slightly as I peek out through the curtain and see all the people piling in and sitting down.

"Then don't pay attention to the scary people," Ale says and I scowl at him causing the two to chuckle.

"This isn't funny I'm actually-"

"ALRIGHT PLACES EVERYONE SHOW BEGINS IN FIVE MINUTES!!!!"

"You'll do great," Ale says and squeezes my shoulders in comfort.

"Remember deep breaths and if it makes you feel any better, you are the best looking out of everyone here," Cargo says and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek before he runs over to his place. I blush and slightly lift my hand of to my cheek. What the what just happened? Before I know someone is greeting everyone on stage and the curtains are rising. I take a deep breath.

"Here we go."

So far the play has gone well so far we're halfway through. Right now we're finishing the musical number for Under the Sea. It was very fun. Singing along and dancing.

"That's why it's hotter under the water, Ya we in the luck in here, Down in the muck here, Under the seaaaaaaaaaaaa" we all finish singing and pose around Sebastian(Ale) the crowd cheers as the lights begin to dim. I look out into the crowd and smile but soon it fades as I spot something in the crowd. I do a double take and look again. Sure of what I saw as the curtains close.

I'd know those gray pair of eyes anywhere.
