Inexperienced novel Chapter 22

It's been three weeks, everything has gone great so far. Nobody telling me what to do, nobody telling me what to wear, and I managed to score a job at Disney world. I mean it's not the ideal job, but at the same time, being a tour guide and getting to see the people smiles is a great form of a reward, the money isn't bad either. To tell you the truth it beats being homeless, it beats being with... You know who. Plus slowly I'm easing out of my shell, I'm actually socializing. To tell you the truth...I kind of like it. I'm currently clocking in and getting ready to start my day when my phone rings. I pick it up and answer, thinking that it was one of my co-workers that I have recently acquainted.

"Hey what's up?" I ask.

"Little one it's you, I've been-" I hang up before he can finish his sentence. How did he discover my phone number? My location is turned off along with the GPS on my phone so even if somebody wanted to track me they couldn't! I take a deep breath to calm myself down, he can't find me, he doesn't even know where I am. All I got was a phone call so I should be good. There's no way he could find me. This helps me calm down, before I know it I'm relaxed and ready to start my day.

"Hello everyone. May I say it is an honor to have you here and thank you for visiting. Welcome to Disney's Magic Kingdom." I say with a huge smile and they return it. "Please feel free to ask any questions. Don't be shy." I say and start the tour. Throughout the whole tour my phone kept buzzing but I chose to ignore it. Soon it's time for my break, taking a deep breath I open up the messages. The first one is from Cargo, a coworker. Then two messages, one from Brad and the other from Virgo, also coworkers. The last messages are from an unknown number.

Cargo: Hey! So um...I kind of may or may not have gotten lost in Animal Kingdom again. Don't worry, Virgo helped me out, but um can you please be my partner tomorrow when I do the tour. If not that's cool to but um can you at least help me study the area. I chuckle after reading the text and then reply.

Me: Cargo! This is the third time this week! Why don't you carry around the map like I recommended. But yes, I will be happy to help you study the area. Sorry I can't be your partner, because this time of the year is really busy and they gave me some extra tours. Maybe next week. Hopefully by then you won't need my help. I then go and reply to Virgo.

Virgo: Hey! Cargo says he got "lost" again today in Animal Kingdom but he's been here for almost a month...He should know his way around by now! I told the idiot to ask you out already but he's to much of a chicken. Just giving you a heads up, he's going to ask you to be his partner to help him tour tomorrow. You should say yes, I'd be happy to take over your shift for you. Think about it. I blush when I finish reading the text. Cargo into me? I chuckle, Virgo's just reading it all wrong.

Me: Nah, I'm pretty sure he only likes me as a friend. Plus a month isn't long. You know how they switch up the tours. So it's easy for him to get things messed up. Also it's really nice of you to offer to take over my shift but I'm good. Thank you. Satisfied with my reply, I then move over to Brad's.

Brad: Hey Lil what's up?!! Anyways Cargo, Virgo, and I are going to the Rainforest Café when we're finished with work, you in? That is if Virgo didn't already ask you.

Me: Of course I'm in! Last but not least the unknown number, my heart clenches when I press down on the notification, opening it.

Unknown: Little one?!

Unknown: Hey!

Unknown: Please answer!

Unknown: I know you know who this is and that I have the right number! You can't just fly away and start over!

Virgo: That's right you're going to be his partner! No I'm like an amazing reader, you're just to oblivious to notice. Dang you and your adorableness. Anyways oh innocent one I have to go, break is almost over see you at the café.

Me: I'm not oblivious or adorable or innocent. I'm not a child bleh! Wish I could say the same about you. Anyways see you at the café and have fun! The minute I press send, Cargo sends me a message.

Cargo: Hey! I'm not that directionally challenged! Anyways I have to go, my break is almost over but I'll see you at the café.

Me: Cargo lying doesn't look good on you! Oh and change of plans, Looks like I will be your tour partner for tomorrow, so TAKE NOTES!!!! See you at the café! I smile slightly as I imagine Cargo pouting as he typed that he wasn't directionally challenged. He was so adorable when he pouted.

"If touring doesn't work he can always be a Disney Prince," I sigh to myself and then blush when I realize what I just said. I then realize that my break was almost up as well. I get up and my phone dings. I click the notification without looking, already knowing it was Cargo. I look down and grown pale. It definitely wasn't Cargo.

Unknown: Better have your bags packed and ready. When I find out where you are, I'm traveling there and I'm getting you myself.
