The warm water pounded against Amelia's shoulders as she tilted her head back, eyes closed. Steam billowed around her. Niko's phone had rung as they headed into the bathroom.

"Room for one more I hope?" Niko's voice broke through her reverie.

Amelia opened her eyes to find her new husband watching her from the shower door, his gaze appreciative as it traveled over her wet skin.

"I did say I wanted us to shower together," she said, unable to keep the pleased smile from her lips.

"I got off the phone as quick as I could." He stepped inside, closing the glass door behind him. "And now I have a much more important task at hand."

"Is that so?" Amelia turned to face him fully, suddenly very aware of her nakedness.

Though they'd spent the night discovering each other's bodies, this was different…bright morning light streaming through the bathroom window, nowhere to hide, nothing to obscure. Amelia fought the instinct to cover herself, instead lifting her chin slightly, and met his eyes with confidence.

"You're beautiful," Niko said simply, reaching out to trace the curve of her shoulder with his fingertips. "Have I told you that yet today?"

"Hmm, I'm not sure," she replied, her voice light despite the flutter in her stomach. "I don't mind hearing it."

He smiled and pulled her against him. His body was already responding to her proximity, his arousal evident against her hip.

"Beautiful," he murmured, lowering his mouth to her neck. "Stunning." His lips traced a path along her collarbone. "Exquisite." His hands slid down her back to cup her bottom, pulling her closer. "Sexy."

Amelia gasped, her arms winding around his neck as the warm water continued to cascade over them both. She'd never imagined showering could be so intimate, and so arousing.

"Turn around," Niko instructed softly, his voice dropping to that commanding tone that sent shivers through her despite the heat.

She complied, uncertain what he intended until she felt his hands on her shoulders, massaging gently, his thumbs working at the muscles between her shoulder blades.

"Mmm," she agreed, eyes fluttering closed as his strong fingers worked their magic. "That is so good."

His chuckle vibrated against her back as he leaned in to press a kiss to her nape. "I'm glad you approve."
